Zillow

Real Estate

Join our mission to give the people power to unlock life’s next chapter. We’re looking for smart, passionate people to join our largely distributed workforce as we reimagine the real estate transaction and change the way people buy, sell, rent and finance their homes. Our homes are the heartbeat of our lives, and we believe that finding a home shouldn’t be so hard in today’s always-on world. That’s why we’re reimagining the traditional rules of real estate to make it easier than ever to move from one home to the next. Our journey began nearly 15 years ago with a handful of employees and one big idea: to make it radically easier for people to move. We began by helping people understand and track their homes’ values with the Zestimate, our proprietary algorithm, and then with advanced technology and valuable connections with real estate professionals. Today, Zillow has become a household name; “Zillow” is Googled more frequently than “real estate.” We believe that the time for a seamless and convenient real estate experience is now. This is Zillow’s next chapter.

Job description

About the team

Zillow's Agent Sales organization empowers real estate professionals with the solutions and technology they need to succeed in today's dynamic market. As the bridge between Zillow's innovative platform and the agent community, we're dedicated to creating tools and partnerships that drive meaningful results.
The Revenue Strategy & Operations team acts as our internal strategy house, architecting sophisticated business models that deliver tangible value to agents while building sustainable, scalable revenue streams for Zillow. We work cross-functionally to optimize pricing strategies, refine go-to-market approaches, identify growth opportunities, and translate market insights into actionable business initiatives that strengthen our position as the industry's most trusted partner for real estate professionals.

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Strategic Planning Manager to drive Planning, Performance, and Strategy across one or more of our Software and Advertising products. Strategic Planning serves as the connective tissue between Zillow’s top-level operating goals and the cross-functional teams that execute against them. In this role, you will drive business performance by architecting and proactively managing our critical business rhythms, leveraging structured analytical frameworks to uncover strategic opportunities, and leading cross-functional stakeholder teams to execute high-impact initiatives.

The ideal candidate brings the rigorous structured thinking of a top-tier management consultant and the ownership mindset of an entrepreneur. You are a proactive leader capable of architecting complex projects from scratch, managing senior stakeholder relationships, and driving teams toward high-impact deliverables.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Develop a deep understanding of one or more of Zillow’s businesses, key performance drivers, and cross-functional improvement opportunities. Become a subject matter expert.

  • Drive our annual operating plan including goal setting, performance management, and executive-level monthly/quarterly business reviews.

  • Establish and maintain key business metrics (inputs/outputs), and develop sophisticated forecast models to project results and measure gaps to plan.

  • Lead cross-functional stakeholder projects from ideation to execution, ensuring alignment across Product, Sales, and Finance to meet critical business milestones.

  • Act as an internal consultant to business leaders, providing structured frameworks to solve ambiguous problems and driving data-backed decisions at the executive level.

  • Proactively develop insights and recommendations to improve performance. Present findings and options effectively to an executive audience to drive decisions.

  • Analyze business, operational, or customer data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities.

  • Collaborate with data engineering, BI, and data science to build advanced analytics and real-time performance dashboards.

  • Drive key business operations to serve the needs of our cross-functional partners.

  • Maintain an understanding of competitor or industry trends.
