About this Role:

The Associate Pursuit Manager independently manages moderate-complexity pursuits and contributes substantive content to larger, high-priority competitive responses. This role serves as a key contributor within the pursuit process, expanding beyond operational coordination to take increased ownership of content development, pursuit schedules, and CRM rigor in support of successful pursuit execution. This position expands pursuit capacity by managing proposals end-to-end while supporting senior staff on the most strategic opportunities. The Associate Pursuit Manager also provides guidance to Pursuit Coordinators and contributes to the development of pursuit best practices and bench strength across the function.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage assigned pursuits of moderate complexity from kickoff through submission.

  • Contribute pursuit-specific inputs to go/no-go evaluations, including compliance assessment, schedule feasibility, and resource considerations.  

  • Develop and write substantive proposal content, including qualifications, project narratives, executive summary inputs, and resumes, with guidance from senior staff.

  • Establish and manage pursuit schedules, coordinating internal contributors and subconsultants. Conduct compliance reviews on assigned content to confirm adherence to RFQ and RFP requirements.

  • Maintain Salesforce opportunity records for assigned pursuits, including revenue values, stage progression, and outcome documentation.

  • Ensure resumes and project sheets sourced from Flowcase are current and aligned with pursuit messaging.

  • Develop content and materials for client presentations and interviews on assigned pursuits. Support interview preparation including coaching sessions, mock interviews, and slide development under the direction of senior staff.

  • Provide guidance and quality review to Pursuit Coordinators on assigned work.

  • Support Pursuit Managers and Senior Pursuit Managers on larger pursuits as a section lead or content contributor.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in English, Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field preferred.

  • 3-5 years of proposal management or business development experience within AEC industry, professional services, capital program environments.

  • Demonstrated experience contributing to or leading RFQ and RFP responses through submission.

  • Strong writing and editing skills with ability to adapt messaging to client expectations.

  •  Experience maintaining opportunity data in Salesforce or similar CRM system.

  •  Familiarity with Flowcase or comparable capabilities management platform.

  • APMP certification preferred.

Working Hours:

  • Full-time, Exempt. Standard business hours with occasional evenings and weekends during peak workloads.

  • Remote role with approximately 10% travel.

  • Candidates based in North America and within proximity to a Consertus office are preferred.

 

Compensation Range:

Varies based on experience and location; $69,000 - $75,000 annually.
