Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Physician Orders Program Management: Serve as the lead for the Physician Orders Program, directing and managing the review process across all involved departments. Your primary focus will be to ensure timely, accurate, and compliant order reviews while proactively identifying and resolving any workflow bottlenecks or discrepancies to maintain program integrity.
  • Data-Driven Program Strategy & Reporting: Define and own the analytical strategy for the Physician Orders Program. Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and build reporting mechanisms to monitor program health, identify trends, and measure outcomes. You will translate complex data into compelling narratives and actionable insights for stakeholders at all levels, from front-line teammates to senior leadership.
  • Process Improvement & Quality Assurance: In collaboration with Quality and Compliance, ensure the Physician Orders Program consistently adheres to all Joint Commission, CMS, and state regulatory standards. Leverage data to design, champion, and implement process improvements and automation opportunities in partnership with IT and clinical informatics.
  • Strategic Management & Ownership: Take full ownership of your program and its related initiatives, leading the strategic design and structure of the workstream. Develop and manage long-term program roadmaps, resource plans, and risk mitigation strategies to ensure sustained progress and success.
  • Stakeholder & Team Leadership: Align cross-functional teams and senior business leaders to ensure effective collaboration and buy-in for the program’s objectives. Act as the central point of contact to manage dependencies, remove impediments, and foster a cohesive team environment.
  • Executive Communication & Influence: Distill complex program updates, data analyses, and business problems into cohesive, impactful stories for a wide spectrum of audiences. Present comfortably and compellingly to senior leaders to guide strategic decision-making and secure necessary resources.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Finance, MIS, or a related field required.
  • Master’s degree (MPH, MHA, MSN, or MBA) preferred.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in program management, process management, or a related operational role within a healthcare environment.
  • Demonstrated success leading large-scale, cross-functional programs and managing complex operational workflows from strategy to execution.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Advanced Data Analysis & Reporting: High proficiency in data analysis, interpretation, and performance reporting. Must be skilled in using tools like Excel and Tableau to transform data into actionable business intelligence and strategic recommendations.
  • Program & Project Management: Deep expertise in program management methodologies. Proven ability to manage the entire lifecycle of a complex program, including its constituent projects. Familiarity with project management software (e.g., ServiceNow, Apptio Targetprocess) and Alteryx is a plus.
  • Collaboration & Influence: Ability to influence and collaborate effectively across clinical, technical, and administrative teams to drive program goals.
  • Strategic Problem-Solving: Excellent ability to structure ambiguous problems, think creatively, test hypotheses, and drive solutions at a programmatic level.
  • Executive Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to influence and present complex information clearly to senior leadership.
  • Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage a large-scale program in a fast-paced environment.

This position will be open for a minimum of three days.

The Salary Range for the role is $70,000.00 - $106,000.00 per year.

 

 

 

If a candidate is hired, they will be paid at least the minimum wage according to their geographical jurisdiction and the exemption status for the position.

New York Exempt: New York City and Long Island: $66,300.00/year, Nassau, Suffolk, and Westchester counties: $66,300.00/year, Remainder of New York state: $62,353.20/year New York Non-exempt: New York City and Long Island: $17.00/hour, Nassau, Suffolk, and Westchester counties: $17.00/hour, Remainder of New York state: $16.00/hour

Washington Exempt: $80,168.40/year Washington Non-exempt: Bellingham: $19.13/hour, Burien: $21.71/hour, Everette: $20.77/hour, Unincorporated King County: $20.82/hour, Renton: $21.57/hour, Seattle: $21.30/hour, Tukwila: $21.65/hour, Remainder of Washington state: $17.13/hour
