In this role, you’ll be responsible for identifying, onboarding, and developing dedicated adult volunteers, providing them with the tools, guidance, and ongoing support they need to thrive.

This is a full-time, non-exempt position with a 35-hour workweek. The hourly rate of pay for this position is $19.00.

Day In the Life:

  • Deliver engaging, hands-on programming to new adult volunteers, helping them bring the Girl Scout Leadership Experience to life in newly formed troops.
  • Build strong community connections by partnering with schools and local organizations, attending events, and identifying opportunities to grow volunteer engagement.
  • Mentor and support new volunteer leaders through consistent communication, problem-solving, and exceptional customer service throughout their first 8 months.
  • Ensure new troops are successfully launched and actively participating in all aspects of the Girl Scout experience, including membership and product programs.
  • Collaborate with your team and supervisor to share updates, track progress, and help ensure a smooth transition for each troop.
Requirements

  • Experience working with volunteers and diverse communities preferred.
  • Comfortable leading engaging, curriculum-based activities for children.
  • Background in training or experiential learning is a plus.
  • Able to handle conflict professionally with both adults and youth.
  • Familiarity with or ability to quickly learn Girl Scout GSLE / Journey program preferred.
  • Flexible schedule, including availability for evenings and weekends.
  • Valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and proof of insurance required.
  • Willing and able to travel up to 150 miles from a GSCI office and work in varying weather conditions.
  • Must have or be willing to obtain Girl Scout membership and pass a background check.
