Job description

About the Client

Our client is one of the nation's largest performance marketing organizations specializing in real estate lead generation. With more than $20 million in annual paid media spend, the company has built its success through data-driven decision making, relentless testing, and scalable customer acquisition strategies. Every marketing dollar is invested into growing their own business, making performance, efficiency, and ROI the driving force behind every campaign. As they continue to expand, they are seeking a highly experienced Director of Paid Media to lead and scale their acquisition engine while building world-class paid media and creative operations. This is a fully remote opportunity for candidates located within the United States.

Job Summary

The Director of Paid Media is a senior leadership role for a highly hands-on marketing operator who enjoys being deeply involved in both strategy and execution. This individual will oversee more than $20 million in annual paid media spend across Meta, Connected TV (CTV), Paid Search, Native, Display, and emerging acquisition channels while leading the company's creative performance strategy.

This role goes well beyond media buying. The Director will oversee the creative team responsible for ad content, messaging, editing, production, testing, and campaign execution, ensuring every creative asset is built with performance and measurable ROI in mind while maintaining quality and increasing spend. They will develop scalable systems for experimentation, optimization, reporting, and forecasting while continuously identifying opportunities to improve lead quality, reduce acquisition costs, and increase return on ad spend.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience within high-volume lead generation organizations—particularly companies that invest significant marketing dollars into generating their own customers rather than managing campaigns for outside clients or agencies. They are equally comfortable analyzing campaign performance, directing creative strategy, building operational processes, and personally working inside advertising platforms to drive results.

What We Offer

  • $160k - $175k Base Salary

  • Performance-based bonus opportunities = On-Target-Earnings (OTE) of $200k+

  • Fully remote position (U.S.-based)

  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance

  • Paid Time Off and company holidays

  • 401(k) with company match (if applicable)

  • Executive-level ownership of a $20M+ annual paid media budget

  • Opportunity to build and lead a best-in-class performance marketing organization

  • Collaborative, fast-paced, data-driven culture

  • Significant career growth with direct executive visibility

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Own the strategy, execution, optimization, and scaling of a $20M+ annual paid media budget across Meta, CTV, Paid Search, Native, Display, and emerging channels.

  • Remain highly hands-on within advertising platforms, personally monitoring campaign performance and driving optimization efforts.

  • Lead and mentor the creative team responsible for ad copy, video production, graphic design, editing, messaging, and campaign execution.

  • Ensure all creative initiatives are driven by measurable performance, testing frameworks, and return on investment.

  • Build structured experimentation programs that continuously improve creative performance, lead quality, and customer acquisition costs.

  • Develop scalable marketing systems for campaign launches, QA, reporting, forecasting, budgeting, and operational excellence.

  • Partner cross-functionally with executive leadership to align paid media strategy with overall business objectives.

  • Develop executive dashboards and reporting that clearly communicate campaign performance, business impact, and future growth opportunities.

  • Identify new acquisition channels, audience opportunities, and scaling strategies while maintaining profitability and efficiency.

  • Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, continuous testing, and data-driven decision making across the marketing organization.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

  • 8+ years of hands-on performance marketing experience with increasing leadership responsibility.

  • Proven success managing $20M+ annual paid media budgets with strong ROAS and customer acquisition performance.

  • Extensive expertise managing Meta Ads and Connected TV (CTV) campaigns at scale.

  • Strong experience with Paid Search, Native Advertising, Display, and other digital acquisition channels.

  • Experience leading creative teams responsible for content strategy, ad production, editing, testing, optimization, and performance measurement.

  • Proven background within lead generation businesses that invest heavily in acquiring their own customers—not agency-side marketing.

  • Deep understanding of attribution, conversion tracking, analytics, forecasting, and performance reporting.

  • Demonstrated ability to build scalable marketing systems, testing frameworks, and operational processes.

Exceptional leadership, analytical, communication, and project management skills with a passion for continuous optimization and measurable business growth.
