Senior Specialist in Finance 

 

Purpose: 

 

As an in-house business consultant, working in cross-functional Team, you will play a critical role in supporting our divisions (Pharmaceuticals, Consumer Health and Crop Science) in the area of:

  • Cost Accounting 
  • Production Accounting & Inventory Valuation
  • GL & Reporting
  • Controlling

 

Your Tasks & Responsibilities: 

 

Cost accounting - Ensure precise recording and allocation of actual business expenses in line with our group reporting standards and data model.

Production Accounting & Inventory Valuation- Monitor production costs and secures accurate inventory valuations.

GL & Reporting – Ensures smooth month end closing process and accurate reporting.

Controlling – Support Stakeholders in cost tracking and daily activities.

 

Who You Are: 

 

  • University degree in Business Administration, Finance and Accounting, Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, or equivalent.
  • At least 2 years professional experience in Controlling, Product Costing, Financial Analysis, General Ledger, Asset Management etc.; experience from production company would be an advantage.
  • Understanding of cost accounting/managerial accounting rules and their connection with other business processes.
  • Understanding of accounting period-end closing.
  • Analytical skills – ability to prepare basic financial information.
  • Action-oriented way of working with an eye for details.
  • Experience in partnering with Business stakeholders (presentation of data, discussion of complex business cases, supporting decision making).
  • Ability to effectively collaborate in matrix organization.
  • Support decision making within the scope of responsibility (legal entity, country, or country group).
  • Experience with SAP (FI, CO), SAP HANA would be an asset.
  • Fluent English, both spoken and written.
  • Digital skills: Excel intermediate, entry knowledge of Power BI or relevant tools for analytics and visualization (view, filter and drill down reports and visuals).
  • Knowledge of German or other European languages would be an asset.

 

At Bayer, we are committed to transparency, equal pay for equal work or work of equal value, and objective reward practices.

The minimum gross monthly salary for this role is 7.200,00 PLN. The final salary will be determined based on objective factors such as professional experience, qualifications, scope of responsibility.

This position is be eligible for variable pay components, such as annual or performance-based bonuses, awarded in accordance with the applicable employee group, role scope, and compensation structure.
