Job Summary

Working primarily as a member of and support to the Logistic/Supply Chain team, supporting supply chain needs, placing purchase orders, monitoring inventory levels and distribution activities of products to limit costs, improve availability and meet customer needs.

With a minimum of 3 years of demonstrated experience in a role handling materials procurement planning, work in support of tracking material status updates, working with actual and forecasted shortages to achieve timely receipt of materials and to validate supplier commitments. Must be able to work effectively as a team member in a fast paced, high-volume work environment, demonstrating high level of detail and time management skills.

This is a full-time, non-exempt role reporting directly to the Procurement Manager. 


Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:

 

  • Procures materials, components, equipment and services at the lowest cost consistent with quality, reliability of source and urgency requirements following approved procedures
  • Review project demands on a regular basis; adjusts part and supplier settings to match the dynamic demand and supply requirements
  • Executes pull-ins, push outs, cancellations, expedites and new orders at minimal cost as required
  • Selects suppliers from the Approved Vendor List, verifies price and delivery, issues and/or adjusts purchase orders in a timely manner
  • Works with suppliers to access order information, acknowledgements and provide updated order/shipping status
  • Consistently integrates Allbridge’s core values into their everyday habits by treating all customers, internal and external, professionally, honestly and respectfully
  • Accepts ownership and accountability of position responsibilities and strives to deliver results for customers that establish high standards, credibility and quality performance
  • Other miscellaneous duties as assigned by manager. 


Required Qualifications 

 

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Purchasing, Supply Chain, or Materials Planning. Extensive experience in other detail-oriented ERP system work could be considered.
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • High school diploma


Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

 

  • Placing and tracking orders for timely receipt of materials. Minimizes excess inventory.
  • Interfaces with Accounting and Warehouse to resolve invoice and receiving problems
  • Follows purchasing processes and work instructions 
  • Decision Making and Problem Solving
  • Systems Analysis, Strong Communication skills
