Who Gives A Crap

Cleaning & Household Products

We are one of the fastest-growing eCommerce businesses in Australia (and now the US and UK too!). More than that, we’re one of the country’s fastest-growing social businesses. Who Gives a Crap sells beautiful, forest friendly toilet paper, paper towels and tissues and we donate 50% of our profits to help build toilets for those in need. As much as we love toilet paper, the reason we’re in business is the impact we’re having on the world—To date, Who Gives A Crap has donated over $8 million Aussie dollars to our charity partners, WaterAid, Sanergy, Lwala Community Alliance and Shining Hope For Communities, iDE and WaterSHED. The more innovative the solutions our partners can unlock, the quicker we can help build toilets for the 2 billion people who don’t have them. We have a fully distributed business with all team members working remotely (i.e. from home or a co-working space) most of the time. We currently operate in six time zones with team members across four continents... and we’re just getting started. We believe a diversity of perspectives and experiences is what makes a strong team. The stronger our team, the closer we are to our mission – toilets and clean water for all. So come join us! We're looking for people of all genders, races, ethnicities, orientations, abilities and disabilities to come sit at our table. The only thing we're a stickler on is species – you have to be a person.

Funny name, serious business

We are a leading eco-friendly household essentials business and we donate 50% of our profits to help everyone gain access to clean water and a toilet. As of 2026, we’ve contributed over $20 million AUD to this mission. Basically, we’re really good at making it easy to do good.

With hubs in Australia, the Philippines, the US, and Europe, our 250+ people work to make the biggest possible impact for people and the planet. Over the next 5-10 years, we’re hoping to increase our annual donation tenfold. As a genuine remote-first company, we lean into being a high-functioning distributed team with a strong culture of trust, delivery, and delight!

A bit about the role

Our Digital Product team is the engine room of our customer experience. As our E-Commerce Specialist, success isn't just about managing the storefront, but architecting the automation that allows the storefront to scale without a linear increase in manual effort.

Reporting to the Senior Product Manager - Acquisition, you will own the end-to-end digital journey across our global markets (AU, US, UK, EU, and CA). You’ll be a key partner to our Growth, Creative, and Brand teams, ensuring that our storefront is a high-converting masterpiece that balances technical performance with world-class brand storytelling.

Here’s some of the work you’ll lead:

  • Strategic Merchandising & Roadmap Ownership: You’ll lead the deployment of global site content, from high-stakes product launches to seasonal promotional pulses. You’ll own the CMS architecture, ensuring our Shopify environment is scalable and perfectly synced across all regions.

  • Performance & Conversion Leadership: You’ll partner with Growth and Retention Marketing to architect high-performing landing pages. You aren’t just building pages; you’re optimizing the conversion funnel, ensuring we turn traffic into loyal customers with frictionless UX.

  • Advanced Experimentation & Hypotheses: While you’ll collaborate with the Senior PM on the broader roadmap, you will lead the charge on on-site A/B testing. You’ll use data-backed insights to propose, build, and analyze tests on everything from navigation flow to checkout micro-copy.

  • Operational Excellence & Governance: Establish the "Gold Standard" for site QA and automated workflows. You’ll architect repeatable templates that empower the team to move fast without individual ownership becoming a single point of failure.

  • AI-Driven Optimisations: You'll design and maintain repeatable workflows and templates leveraging AI optimisations that reduce campaign idea-to-live time.

  • Data-Driven Insights: You’ll monitor key metrics like CVR, AOV, and Bounce Rates like a pro, to diagnose and pivot underperforming campaigns in real-time. You’ll leverage system intelligence to identify funnel "leaks," ensuring high-velocity optimization without getting bogged down in "click-ops".

Let’s talk about you

You’re a seasoned pro who thrives on taking the lead. You don’t wait for a ticket to be assigned; you proactively identify the opportunity and move the work forward.

  • You’re a Shopify Power User: You have deep, expert-level experience with Shopify (Plus preferred). You understand CMS logic, metafields, and how to push the platform to its limits while maintaining strict governance.

  • You’re a Strategic Thinker: You look beyond the immediate task to see how it impacts the broader ecosystem. You proactively use site health metrics and feasibility data to steer global initiatives and ensure technical performance is never sacrificed for creative ambition.

  • You’re a Quality Advocate: You have a "zero-defect" mindset. You believe that "good enough" isn't enough when it comes to the customer experience.

  • You’re an Automator by Default: you build systems that are transparent and scalable, ensuring the business never relies on one person as a single point of failure.

  • You’re a Collaborative Leader: You know how to manage complex senior stakeholders, influencing creative and marketing teams to align with digital best practices.

  • You’re High-Energy & Adaptable: You move at the speed of a scale-up, and you’re comfortable pivoting as we enter new markets and verticals.

The Essentials

  • Solid professional experience in large, systemised e-commerce operational environments, digital merchandising, or product management. You bring the maturity and insight of someone who has previously led a team or workstream before.

  • Deep experience in global markets at mid-enterprise size  (handling multiple currencies/regions) is highly preferred.

  • Proven track record of driving measurable conversion growth through on-site optimisation.

  • Strong technical literacy - HTML/CSS, SEO best practices, AI automation, and hands on experience utilising A/B testing tools.
