Role Overview
We are looking for static and mobile laser scanning professionals (TLS, Terrestrial Laser Scanner and MLS, Mobile Laser Scanner Operators) to join our team as Field Scanning Navigators. Our new colleagues will perform LiDAR scanning of urban trees in Europe, completing pre- and post-processing, as well as geodetic and GIS-related tasks.
Your skills and knowledge will ensure the precise preparation, planning of survey projects, and the provision of data acquisition and processing. You will be assisted by special, electric-powered scanning vehicles equipped with an RTK GNSS System and TLS scanners.
Compensation & Logistics
As part of this engagement, greehill will cover all travel-related expenses, including airfare, inter-site transportation, and accommodation, ensuring you have the support necessary for seamless operations. In addition, you will receive a per diem allowance to cover daily expenses during your field deployments.
This role features an attractive work schedule that typically alternates between two weeks in the field across various European locations and one week off, although this cycle can be adjusted to suit mutual availability.
Key Responsibilities
Plan each area scanning as an individual project.
Scan trees and urban objects in various European countries (parks and streets).
Perform basic maintenance and installation tasks for the equipment.
Optional: Conduct post-processing of scanned data using Riegl Software (training provided).
Ensure smooth logistics of the survey equipment.
Maintain assertive and professional communication with local authorities during survey projects, with the full support of our HQ.
Requirements
Relevant working experience in field surveying.
Strong technical understanding and proficiency in using laser scanning equipment.
Competence in geodetic and GIS-related tasks.
Good technical sense and a strong interest in state-of-the-art technologies.
Valid driverβs license with a safety-conscious, responsible driving style.
Good command of the English language.
Preferred Qualifications
Degree in surveying or equivalent (Diploma holders in other professional areas with relevant experience will also be considered).
Proven experience working with high-value equipment.
Fluency or proficiency in an additional European language (e.g., German, French) is a plus.
