ServiceNow Developer – IRM
Job Description
Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and deploy ServiceNow applications and platform solutions using:
    • JavaScript
    • Now Platform
    • Flow Designer
    • IntegrationHub
  • Configure scoped applications and core platform features using best-practice patterns, security controls, and governance standards.
  • Build and maintain integrations with enterprise systems using:
    • REST/SOAP APIs
    • MID Server
    • IntegrationHub spokes
  • Ensure secure and reliable data exchange between systems.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation including:
    • Solution designs
    • Build notes
    • Update sets
    • Integration specifications
    • Deployment runbooks
  • Provide post-deployment support, troubleshoot issues, and implement enhancements based on user feedback.
  • Maintain code quality through:
    • Peer reviews
    • Automated testing where applicable
    • Adherence to ServiceNow SDLC and release/deployment practices
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and knowledge sharing across the ServiceNow platform team.
  • Develop automation and orchestration using:
    • Flows/Workflows
    • Business Rules
    • Script Includes
    • UI Policies
    • Catalog Items
  • Improve operational efficiency and user experience through automation.
  • Collaborate with architects and stakeholders to:
    • Produce solution designs
    • Provide delivery estimates
    • Translate requirements into implementable user stories
  • Research and recommend emerging ServiceNow capabilities, including:
    • Virtual Agent
    • AI Search
    • Now Assist (where applicable)
  • Present technical options and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Act with integrity and professionalism to support a respectful and courteous work environment.
Qualifications
  • Strong expertise ( 2+ years) in ServiceNow Integrated Risk Management (IRM) is required, including:
    • Risk Management
    • Third Party Risk Management (TPRM)
  • Additional experience across two or more ServiceNow modules such as:
    • IT Service Management (ITSM)
    • IT Operations Management (ITOM)
    • HR Service Delivery (HRSD)
  • Developers without experience in IRM/GRC or junior developers will not be considered.
  • Experience implementing and configuring ServiceNow IRM and TPRM applications.
  • Deep technical knowledge of:
    • Vendor risk lifecycle
    • Issue management
    • Remediation processes
    • Risk reporting and dashboards
Required Certifications
  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) required.
Preferred Certifications
  • ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist – Risk and Compliance (CIS-RC).
  • ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD).
  • Platform micro-certifications.
Experience & Technical Skills
  • 3+ years of recent, hands-on ServiceNow IRM development experience delivering platform solutions that solve business problems and create measurable impact.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Strong proficiency with ServiceNow scripting and development, including:
    • JavaScript
    • Business Rules
    • Script Includes
    • Client Scripts
    • UI Policies
    • ACLs
    • Data model design
  • Experience with ServiceNow platform capabilities including:
    • Flow Designer
    • Service Catalog
    • Reporting and Dashboards
    • Performance considerations
    • CMDB concepts (as applicable)
  • Experience building integrations using:
    • REST APIs
    • SOAP APIs
    • IntegrationHub
    • MID Server
  • Experience with Agile delivery practices, including:
    • User stories
    • Sprint ceremonies
    • Backlog refinement
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly in writing and collaborate effectively with technical and business stakeholders.
