Job description

Who is Forcepoint?

Forcepoint simplifies security for global businesses and governments. Forcepoint’s all-in-one, truly cloud-native platform makes it easy to adopt Zero Trust and prevent the theft or loss of sensitive data and intellectual property no matter where people are working. 20+ years in business. 2.7k employees. 150 countries. 11k+ customers. 300+ patents. If our mission excites you, you’re in the right place; we want you to bring your own energy to help us create a safer world. All we’re missing is you!

Coordinates all aspects of a product or service offering project for a client, from inception to installation. Installations may involve acceptance of capitalized equipment or enterprise software systems, or system integration and consulting projects and engagements. This role is primarily tactical in nature and manages specific projects that have a distinct beginning and end. The focus is on delivering new or enhanced products and improving customer satisfaction through the use of technology.

Project management skills, rather than technical skills, are key to this role, though a strong technical background is often required to manage competing interests. The position may require occasional work at the client site.

Scope and Organizational Responsibility

Oversees the operation of a single department or "unique entity" within the organization. A "unique entity" is defined as any function that requires management (with or without direct reports) and exists only once within the organization. In some instances, this manager may be responsible for a functional area without any subordinate employees.

Plans, organizes, and controls resources within the department or unique entity, and participates in the creation of operating plans that support the organization's overall strategic plan. Manages, potentially through subordinate supervisors, the coordination of activities across a section or department, with responsibility for results including costs, methods, and staffing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the full project lifecycle, overseeing schedules and budgets to ensure goal attainment.

  • Receive assignments in the form of objectives and determine how to allocate resources to meet schedules and goals.

  • Provide guidance to team members within the latitude of established company policies.

  • Recommend changes to policies and establish procedures that affect the immediate organization.

  • Lead cooperative efforts among members of a cross-functional project team.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Involves extensive interaction with sales, systems engineering, product development, and other members of cross-functional teams. Frequently interacts with subordinate supervisors, customers, and functional peer group managers, typically on matters spanning functional areas, other company divisions or units, or the relationship between customers and the company.

Decision-Making and Impact

Erroneous decisions or failure to achieve results will add to costs and may impact the short-term goals of the organization.

Forcepoint is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The salary range and variable compensation for this role is 117,000.00 - 137,000.00 and represents the low and high end of compensation for this position. Actual salaries are determined by various factors including, but not limited to, location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Forcepoint’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include bonuses, paid time off policy, and many region-specific benefits

Don’t meet every single qualification? Studies show people are hesitant to apply if they don’t meet all requirements listed in a job posting.
