LMI is seeking a skilled Senior Congressional Affairs and Strategic Analyst to support Army logistics congressional affairs, strategic analysis, executive communications, and stakeholder engagement. Responsibilities:
- Support Army logistics congressional affairs activities through strategic analysis, executive communications, stakeholder engagement, and program execution.
- Conduct research and analysis to evaluate legislative actions, policy initiatives, strategic priorities, and emerging issues affecting Army logistics.
- Collect, consolidate, validate, and analyze information from multiple sources to support executive decision-making and congressional inquiries.
- Develop executive-ready briefings, reports, decision papers, presentations, congressional responses, talking points, and other written communications supporting Army logistics leadership.
- Coordinate activities and recommendations across multiple Army organizations and stakeholders to support timely responses to congressional actions, inquiries, and strategic initiatives.
- Monitor legislative activities, action items, milestones, and deliverables while identifying risks, dependencies, and recommended courses of action.
- Support development and coordination of strategic communication products, information papers, and executive correspondence.
- Facilitate meetings, working groups, and collaborative planning sessions while documenting decisions and tracking follow-up actions.
- Synthesize complex operational, policy, and analytical information into actionable recommendations that improve mission performance and organizational effectiveness.
- Develop performance metrics, dashboards, and analytical products to support leadership visibility and informed decision making.
- Support strategic planning, policy analysis, organizational assessments, and enterprise initiatives, as required.
- Support business development activities, including market research, proposal support, solution development, and client engagement, as required.
- Perform additional consulting, analytical, communications, and project support activities as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Political Science, Public Administration, Public Policy, Communications, Business, Management, Logistics, Operations Research, International Relations, or a related discipline.
- Ten or more years of professional experience supporting Army logistics, congressional affairs, strategic analysis, DoD, or other complex Government organizations.
- Experience conducting policy analysis, strategic assessments, executive communications, or legislative support activities.
- Strong analytical skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and experience using spreadsheets, databases, collaboration tools, and reporting applications.
- Demonstrated ability to gather, analyze, and synthesize information from multiple sources into concise, actionable recommendations and executive products.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience developing executive-level briefings, reports, presentations, congressional responses, and correspondence.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders and work effectively within cross-functional teams.
- Self-directed, detail oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities in dynamic environments.
- Available for occasional travel.
- This position requires an active Secret security clearance. Applicants must be U.S. citizens.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Political Science, Public Administration, Public Policy, Communications, Business, Management, Logistics, or a related discipline.
- Ten (10) years of experience supporting Army logistics, congressional affairs, strategic analysis, or other DoD organizations.
- Experience supporting headquarters-level executive correspondence, congressional engagement, policy development, or strategic planning initiatives.
- Experience developing dashboards, performance metrics, executive reporting, or analytical products.
- Familiarity with business process improvement, workflow modernization, automation, or digital transformation initiatives.
- Experience facilitating cross-functional working groups and stakeholder engagements.
- Excellent research, writing, briefing, editing, and staff coordination skills.
Target salary range: $90,000-$115,000
