Job description

Job Summary:
The Supplier Expediter the responsible for on-site supplier production schedule monitoring and ensuring timely execution of Flowserve Purchase Orders. This role is critical in preventing production disruptions by holding suppliers accountable, managing order progress, and driving supplier performance in alignment with project schedules. The Supplier Expediter will lead efforts to analyze supply chain issues, coordinate with procurement specialists, and ensure accurate, real-time data updates in ERP systems. This position reports to the Expediting Supervisor  and works closely with Supplier, Procurement Specialists, Project Managers, and Supplier Management teams.

Responsibilities & Requirements

  • Lead and manage the Supplier Expeditor to ensure compliance with company policies and procurement strategies.

  • Oversee the tracking and monitoring of supplier production schedules, ensuring all Flowserve orders are executed according to project needs.

  • Review and prioritize purchase orders and production schedules to optimize delivery timelines.

  • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration between suppliers, procurement specialists, and internal stakeholders.

  • Drive supplier accountability for meeting critical order milestones and resolving supply, quality, service, and invoicing issues.

  • Ensure timely escalation and resolution of order holds or challenges caused by Flowserve, including drawing approvals and NCR responses.

  • Guide the development and implementation of mitigation plans with suppliers to address delivery delays.

  • Validate supplier schedule progress through physical inspections when necessary.

  • Represent Flowserve during customer witness/surveillance visits at supplier facilities.

  • Oversee the submission of daily expediting reports summarizing purchase order status, production

  • Identify the risks, opportunities, progress, and improvements in the supplier schedule during expediting milestones, and recovery actions.

  • Support procurement teams with additional ad-hoc requirements to ensure project execution success.

Main Objectives:

  • Improve supplier quality and delivery performance.

  • Maintain and drive adherence to project schedules.

  • Prioritize Flowserve orders effectively to meet project demands.

  • Foster clear and efficient communication between suppliers and procurement specialists.

Preferred Experience / Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and supply chain management or equivalent.

  • Ability to travel 100%.

  • Deep foundry background (mainly steel) and machining, Fabrication, Forging and fasteners /Fitting.

  • Sangli/Kolhapur based candidates are preferred.

  • Experience in Pump industries is preferred.

  • Experience in Expediting at casting and machining component Fabrication, Forging and fasteners /Fitting.

  • Ability to understand each process step lead time and can identify further risks. 

  • Project management background is Good to have.

  • Ability to Communicate with our customer representatives.
