Job description

Intro

As our Senior Content, SEO and GEO Manager, you'll own all of Feather's content touchpoints. You'll drive and execute our content marketing plan — writing and coordinating everything from blog posts to landing pages, emails, ads, and social, at the right balance of AI and human output. You'll refine our SEO plan, from technical site health to UX-led components, and build our GEO plan to grow Feather's visibility in AI search. You'll manage our PR agency, set clear goals, and show the impact of content over time.
At Feather, we're building insurance that actually matters to our customers. It rests on three principles: a fully digital experience, modern and flexible plans, and reliable human support. And because we build it all for expats living abroad, we're a genuinely different kind of insurer.

Why work at Feather?

  • We’re small, lean, and we love what we do. The usual buzzwords here, except we actually mean them. Staying small helps us focus on what matters, and we want to keep it that way.
  • You’ll work on a product that is loved by customers. Our excellent Trustpilot and Google reviews speak for themselves.
  • There's plenty of space to grow. We trust you to take ownership and make decisions from day one, and we will give you all the support and mentorship you need to succeed.
  • You’ll have the freedom to explore and innovate. Alongside the regular testing of marketing channels and format, you’ll actively participate in new product and market launches.
  • Flexible remote work policy. We offer a remote-first work environment with an office in Berlin. We host company retreats, team dinners, and meetups to spend in-person time together.

What you bring to the table

  • You have strong technical SEO experience.
  • You have been tinkering with AI/LLM optimization, and you're genuinely curious to learn more.
  • You have a creative mindset and a passion for writing and editing content.
  • You have experience briefing and managing content freelancers and/or creative teams.
  • You have a proven track record managing high-quality content across blogs, landing pages, video platforms, etc.
  • You know your way around PR and link-building to grow online visibility.
  • You are resourceful and able to build automations to optimize and scale your work.
  • You are a native-level English speaker.
Nice to have:
  • Video production and editing.
  • You've lived abroad as an expat, or worked closely with expats.
  • You've worked in fintech.

You'll be responsible for

  • You will drive and execute the content marketing plan:
    • You will own and manage the end-to-end ideation and production process for editorial and video content, including briefing, reviewing, writing, editing, and delivery.
    • You will write and coordinate content for a wide range of communication channels, including our blog, landing pages, emails, advertising copy, and social media at scale with the right balance of AI and human output.
    • You will review, edit, and improve content written by internal and external stakeholders, including agencies and freelancers.
  • You will refine and execute the SEO plan:
    • You will own our technical SEO and site health: audits, internal linking, redirects, canonicals, schema, sitemaps, and locale/hreflang strategy while partnering with engineering.
    • You will develop and monitor our website by suggesting new components and optimizing existing ones following UX, GEO, and SEO principles.
  • You will build and execute our GEO plan:
    • You will own our visibility and performance in AI search (ChatGPT, AI Overviews, etc.): tracking citations and share of voice, and adapting content for LLM discovery.
  • You will manage our PR agency to improve Feather’s online visibility and develop a high-quality backlink portfolio.
  • You will set clear goals and analyze content impact over time, track performance across channels, and provide recommendations to different stakeholders.
