Are you passionate about clinical trial budgeting, financial strategy, and delivering accurate, competitive study cost estimates?

Join Fortrea as an Investigator Grants Manager / Clinical Trial Costing Manager and play a critical role in shaping successful clinical research proposals and study execution.

In this highly collaborative role, you will partner with proposal teams, subject matter experts, and clients to develop investigator grant estimates and budget strategies that support clinical trials from proposal development through study delivery. You will leverage your expertise in clinical trial costing, financial analysis, and grants management to ensure accurate, compliant, and competitive budgets that meet both client and business objectives.

What You'll Do

  • Develop and manage Investigator Grant Estimates (IGEs) for clinical trial opportunities.
  • Create detailed study budgets using protocol requirements, schedules of events, and industry benchmarks.
  • Partner with proposal teams and stakeholders to build competitive costing strategies for client proposals.
  • Support budget revisions, rebids, and post-award grant management activities.
  • Analyze historical study data to drive cost accuracy and market competitiveness.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor for grant-related questions and budget discussions with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Contribute to process improvements, operational excellence, and innovation across the grants management function.

What We're Looking For

✔ Minimum 6 years of experience in the Clinical Research, Pharmaceutical, or Biotechnology industry.
✔ At least 3 years of hands-on experience developing clinical trial budgets and investigator grants.
✔ Strong financial acumen, budgeting, forecasting, and analytical skills.
✔ Experience working with clinical trial cost structures and investigator fee models.
✔ Advanced Excel skills and experience with grants management systems.
✔ Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced global environment.
✔ Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Highly Valued Qualifications

⭐ Previous experience with GrantPlan.
⭐ Strong understanding of investigator grant development and clinical trial costing methodologies.
Fluent English communication skills (written and spoken), with the ability to work effectively in a global, cross-functional environment.
