Job Summary:

The Operations Analyst provides support to business operations. This role provides robust data reporting and presentation of data trends by applying deep technical knowledge and thorough understanding of business operations. Elicits business requirements for operational improvements among cross functional teams across all levels of the organization. Works independently with complex data and works under minimal supervision only in highly complex situations.

Job Responsibilities and Requirements:

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborates with key decision makers to identify and solve a variety of business or operational problems and objectives. Interprets data, identifies trends, utilizes benchmark data, creates data visualization and applies data to business operations.
  • Develops specifications of analytic and reporting needs through participation in project teams or meetings with internal/external customers for projects and ad hoc requests.
  • Utilizes a variety of databases and query tools to gather data. Ensures all requirements are well-defined from the customer to meet reporting and analysis specifications.
  • Ensures data integrity, data quality and assists leaders by providing insights into the daily operations and overall business operations.
  • Works closely with technical and build team members to establish reporting and dashboards within applications that will support operations.
  • Develops and maintains dashboards which include weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting to regions and ministries.
  • Partners with customers, peers and cross functional teams to discover needs; and proactively offers options and solutions.
  • Assists with the evaluation, analysis, and development of reporting and analytical tools to analyze department and division performance indicators; presents information to customers in clear, concise, and useful formats.
  • Leverages skilled analytic techniques necessary to meet needs of business users. Supports both new and ongoing operational reporting needs, business process redesign, process improvement initiatives by providing data insights.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience

EXPERIENCE

  • Three years’ experience

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs.
  • Frequent sitting, standing, walking, reaching and repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements.
  • Frequent use of vision and depth perception for distances near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more) and to identify and distinguish colors.
  • Frequent use of hearing and speech to share information through oral communication. Ability to hear alarms, malfunctioning machinery, etc.
  • Frequent keyboard use/data entry.
  • Occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting, twisting and gripping.
  • Occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 25-50 lbs.
  • Rare climbing.
