Job description

Forbes Advisor is a new initiative for consumers under the Forbes Marketplace umbrella that provides journalist- and expert-written insights, news and reviews on all things personal finance, health, business, and everyday life decisions. We do this by providing consumers with the knowledge and research they need to make informed decisions they can feel confident in, so they can get back to doing the things they care about most.


Role Overview

We are looking for a dynamic Assistant Manager with a strong understanding of specifically US financial products into banking, investments and proven managerial capabilities. The role involves leading a team, ensuring high-quality project delivery, and driving operational excellence while contributing to process improvements and strategic initiatives


Key Roles & Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of senior associates and associates within the Banking/Investing vertical, driving team performance, productivity, and adherence to KPIs, identifying training needs and support capability building within the team.
  • While performing research, oversee end-to-end project execution within the Banking/Investing domain. Ensure timely delivery of high-quality research.
  • Develop and share subject knowledge expertise with team members, to help them navigate complex projects and act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for domain-specific queries
  • Support onboarding and training new team members, conduct knowledge-sharing sessions on Banking/Investing metrics. Develop and maintain SOPs, guidelines, and knowledge of repositories.
  • Collaborate with analysts, to understand requirements and align on deliverables. Provide regular updates on progress, challenges, and key insights.
  • Track and evaluate team performance metrics, provide regular feedback to members in areas to improve, ensure timely delivery of projects with high accuracy (target: ≥97%), Proactively manage escalations and resolve delivery challenges.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the team, identify opportunities to improve workflows, and optimize processes.

 

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor’s/master’s degree in finance, Business, investing or related field
  • 4–7 years of experience in Banking/Investing domain
  • Prior experience in team handling and people management, with demonstrated ability to provide clear direction, regular feedback, fair recognition, conflict resolution, and development support to team members.
  • Strong understanding of financial products (banking, investments, crypto, etc.)
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Experience in process improvement and working with data/research-driven projects.
