Job description

The Manager, Client Audit’s primary role is to lead and coordinate client-initiated audits, delivering responses on time and within scope. This role serves as the central point of contact for external audit activity, ensuring timely, accurate, and consistent responses that reflect RxBenefits’ compliance across applicable regulatory and contractual obligations. The role requires strong project management discipline, regulatory understanding, and the ability to translate complex data into clear, client-facing responses that build trust and withstand scrutiny.

Essential Job Responsibilities Include:

  • Serve as the primary owner of client audit requests and RxBenefits’ liaison with client auditors.
  • Intake, triage, and track audit requests to ensure timely and complete responses.
  • Develop and maintain standardized workflows for audit response lifecycle management.
  • Coordinate cross-functional inputs and ensure alignment across departments.
  • Draft, review, and finalize responses to client audits.
  • Translate technical language into clear, client-facing language.
  • Identify gaps in documentation or processes and partner with internal teams to remediate.
  • Support client-facing communications related to audit findings or follow-ups.
  • Analyze audit trends and recurring requests to identify opportunities for process improvement and standardization.
  • Create and maintain an audit response library.
  • Escalate potential legal or compliance risks identified during audit processes.
  • All other duties assigned.

Required Skills / Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Legal Studies, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of relevant experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex topics clearly.
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and comfort learning new technology platforms.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a cross-functional team.

Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • Familiarity with HIPAA and healthcare regulations.
  • Experience in pharmacy benefit management (PBM), health plan, or other healthcare-related environment.
  • Exposure to data governance, privacy, or compliance software tools.

Based on relevant market data and other factors, the anticipated hiring range for this role is $105,600 to $132,000 annually. Final compensation rates will be determined based on various factors, including but not limited to experience, skills, knowledge, and internal equity considerations. This role is also short-term incentive eligible. Incentive amounts will vary by individual and business goals.
