Who we are looking for

State Street Global Market/ Globallink is hiring a Senior Windows Engineer in our Pennsylvania , USA office.

Why this role is important to us

The primary purpose of this position is to provide technical engineering and operational support for the Globallink Windows infrastructure (Servers/Virtual desktops/Active Directory) and assist with compliance/regulatory projects. Some end user support is also required.

What you will be responsible for

Primary Responsibilities:

Windows Engineer hire in Pennsylvania to support any Global Link infrastructure that is running on a Microsoft Operating system.

The successful candidate will be part of the global Windows Team. This team currently consists of 4 engineers, located in the UK and US.

An in-depth understanding of Windows Server operating systems (Server 2019/2022) and Active Directory is a must. The successful candidate will be required to provide some end user support, work on a variety of projects and have the opportunity to learn new technologies. They should have a good understanding of Active Directory, DNS, Microsoft Office suite and Group Policy and Networking. A familiarity with VMware is a bonus.

Typical responsibilities would include

·         On-board and support GlobalLink users in (all office locations)

·         Application support

·         Be part of the CorpSupport group to answer end user queries

·         Participate in the on-call support roster

·         Participate in projects

·         Deploy new systems (servers and virtual desktops)

·         Secure and strengthen our security/compliance posture

·         General troubleshooting

The candidate will be expected to be part of an on-call roster that rotates on a weekly basis.

A follow the sun model is used and the engineer will be required to perform a ‘Sunday check-out’ to verify that the Windows environment is healthy and ready for business.

Education & Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor degrees in engineering, computer Science or related industry (or equivalent experience)
  • 5-8 years of experience preferably with distributed applications and systems
  • Deep working knowledge of network protocols, especially TCP/IP
  • Experience in monitoring tools, scripting, and Internet security
  • Knowledgeability of industry standard best practices regarding network security
  • Strong understanding in at least one leading cloud provider, AWS preferred
  • Working knowledge of modern routing protocols
  • Security certifications and/or equivalent work experience
  • Solid communication and collaboration skills

Work Requirement

  • Hybrid remote working and office
  • Requires participating in the on-call rotation

Salary Range:

$70,000 - $118,750 Annual

The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
