As a Manager on the Insurance Management Team, you will lead a successful and dynamic team to educate our patients and assist them with their insurance needs.  You will manage your own budget and lead strategic initiatives both within our team and with other internal business partners.  This position also provides great visibility across multiple functions and leadership roles within DaVita. 

Denver Candidates: This role will be a hybrid role. Onsite presence at our HQ in Denver, CO, 1x week is required. Candidates must reside in/near Denver, CO, and the surrounding area.

Also, open remote candidates. Travel 1x quarter for team events, meetings etc at our Denver HQ is required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Proactively seek to understand local market and healthcare industry dynamics that could impact your team

  • Live and breathe key metrics to identify trends or areas of focus 

  • Forge a partnership with internal partners, including operational field leadership, and collaborate to drive continuous improvement

  • Recruit, hire, and develop new Insurance Specialist teammates

  • Manage department budget

  • Lead and foster a fun and positive environment that engages, develops, and rewards performance

  • Own operational and strategic initiatives on behalf of the entire team

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher strongly preferred

  • Minimum of two (2) years’ supervisory experience strongly preferred

  • Intermediate computer proficiency and skill in MS Office suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook required

  • Minimum of two (2) years’ project management experience strongly preferred

  • Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in healthcare provider relations, insurance, or customer service preferred, but we have flexibility to train

This position will be open for a minimum of three days.

The Salary Range for the role is $78,000.00 - $119,000.00 per year.

 

 

 

If a candidate is hired, they will be paid at least the minimum wage according to their geographical jurisdiction and the exemption status for the position.

New York Exempt: New York City and Long Island: $66,300.00/year, Nassau, Suffolk, and Westchester counties: $66,300.00/year, Remainder of New York state: $62,353.20/year New York Non-exempt: New York City and Long Island: $17.00/hour, Nassau, Suffolk, and Westchester counties: $17.00/hour, Remainder of New York state: $16.00/hour

Washington Exempt: $80,168.40/year Washington Non-exempt: Bellingham: $19.13/hour, Burien: $21.71/hour, Everette: $20.77/hour, Unincorporated King County: $20.82/hour, Renton: $21.57/hour, Seattle: $21.30/hour, Tukwila: $21.65/hour, Remainder of Washington state: $17.13/hour
