Hours: Part-time, 20 hours per week

Location: Atlanta, GA

The Events Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing a wide range of corporate events, conferences, client engagements, sponsorship activations, trade shows, and internal programs. This role oversees all aspects of event management, from concept development and budgeting through onsite execution and post-event analysis, ensuring a seamless and engaging experience for attendees while supporting business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Event Planning & Execution

  • Lead the end-to-end planning and execution of in-person, virtual, and hybrid events.

  • Develop event timelines, project plans, and detailed run-of-show documents.

  • Coordinate venue selection, logistics, catering, audiovisual needs, transportation, and accommodations.

  • Ensure all event deliverables are completed on time and within budget.

Vendor & Stakeholder Management

  • Source, negotiate, and manage relationships with vendors, venues, suppliers, and event partners.

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand event objectives and deliver successful outcomes.

  • Manage sponsorships, exhibitor relationships, and event partnerships as applicable.

Budget Management

  • Develop and manage event budgets.

  • Track expenses, process invoices, and identify cost-saving opportunities.

  • Ensure events are delivered within approved financial parameters.

Marketing & Communications

  • Partner with marketing and communications teams to support event promotion and attendee engagement.

  • Coordinate invitations, registration processes, event materials, signage, and branded collateral.

  • Assist with post-event communications and follow-up activities.

Onsite Event Management

  • Serve as the primary point of contact during events.

  • Coordinate event staff, vendors, and volunteers.

  • Troubleshoot issues and ensure a positive attendee experience.

  • Maintain compliance with company policies, safety requirements, and venue regulations.

Reporting & Analysis

  • Measure event performance and ROI through attendee feedback, participation metrics, and business outcomes.

  • Conduct post-event evaluations and provide recommendations for future improvements.

  • Maintain event records, reports, and budget summaries.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Hospitality, Event Management, Business, or a related field.

  • 3–7+ years of event planning or event management experience.

  • Proven experience managing multiple events simultaneously.

  • Strong project management and organizational skills.

  • Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.

  • Experience managing budgets, contracts, and vendor negotiations.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and event management software.

  • Ability to travel and work occasional evenings or weekends as needed.
