The Senior Accountant supports the Corporate Controller in owning Minuteman Security Technologies’ core general-ledger accounting. The role is accountable for daily cash reconciliation, the monthly prepaid and accrual cycles, fixed-asset accounting, and assigned balance sheet reconciliations across SG&A. It also owns inventory adjustments and analysis and produces ad hoc reporting in support of the company’s government contracts. Accurate, timely month-end close and clean, well-supported reconciliations are the heart of this position, which requires strong technical accounting, sharp analytical skills, and the discipline to meet close deadlines.
• Cash — owns daily reconciliation of all bank accounts to the general ledger, including same-day identification and resolution of variances.
• Prepaids & accruals — owns the monthly prepaid expense schedules and amortization, and the monthly accrual process for expenses incurred but not yet invoiced.
• Fixed assets — owns the fixed-asset sub-ledger — additions, disposals, monthly depreciation, and reconciliation of the FA sub-ledger to the GL.
• Balance sheet integrity — owns assigned balance sheet account reconciliations across SG&A (prepaids, accruals, fixed assets, and related accounts), with reconciling items investigated and cleared.
• Inventory — owns inventory adjustments, reconciliation, and analysis — cycle-count and obsolescence adjustments, and variance and trend analysis.
• Government-contract reporting — owns ad hoc reporting and analysis prepared in support of the company’s government / GSA contract requirements.
• P&L flux & commentary — owns the monthly profit-and-loss fluctuation (flux) analysis, adding written commentary that explains variances against prior period and budget.
• Audit support — owns preparation of audit schedules and serving as a key point of contact for external auditors during interim and year-end fieldwork
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field; CPA or progress toward CPA a plus.
• 4–6+ years of progressive accounting experience, including full-cycle month-end close.
• Strong technical command of general-ledger accounting — cash reconciliation, prepaids, accruals, fixed assets, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Inventory accounting experience — adjustments, reconciliation, and analysis.
• Familiarity with government-contract accounting and reporting (FAR / DCAA / GSA exposure a plus).
• Experience with an integrated ERP / accounting platform (ConnectWise experience a plus).
• Advanced Excel and strong analytical skills; high accuracy, organization, and the discipline to meet close deadlines.

The base salary range for this role is $76,700 - $114,200. Note that salary may vary based on location, skills, and experience and may vary from the amounts listed above. This position may also be eligible for a variable bonus in addition to base salary as well as health coverage, paid holidays, and other benefits.
