Role Overview:

The Oracle Health (OH) Registration Senior Consultant serves as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in patient registration workflows within Oracle Health (formerly Cerner). This role is responsible for leading design, configuration, optimization, and implementation of registration solutions to support healthcare organizations. The consultant partners with clinical, operational, and technical stakeholders to ensure efficient, compliant, and patient-centered registration processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the SME for Oracle Health Registration, including patient access, scheduling integration, and front-end workflows

  • Lead requirements gathering, workflow design, and solution configuration for registration modules

  • Configure and optimize Oracle Health Registration (e.g., Patient Access, PM Office, or equivalent)

  • Analyze current-state workflows and recommend process improvements and best practices

  • Support end-to-end implementations, upgrades, and optimization projects

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (clinical, revenue cycle, IT) to align registration processes with organizational goals

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (HIPAA, CMS, payer rules, etc.)

  • Troubleshoot system issues and provide advanced problem resolution

  • Develop and deliver training, documentation, and knowledge transfer to clients and internal teams

  • Support testing activities (unit, integration, UAT) and validate system functionality

  • Serve as a client-facing leader, managing expectations and providing strategic guidance

  • Mentor junior consultants and contribute to practice development

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare, Information Systems, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)

  • 5+ years of experience with Oracle Health (Cerner) Registration or Patient Access solutions

  • Proven experience in implementation, configuration, or optimization projects

  • Strong understanding of patient registration workflows, scheduling, and front-end revenue cycle processes

  • Experience with workflow analysis, system design, and stakeholder engagement

  • Excellent communication and client-facing skills

  • Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Oracle Health (Cerner) certification(s) in Registration/Patient Access

  • Experience with revenue cycle integration (eligibility, billing, coding interfaces)

  • Knowledge of HL7 interfaces and system integrations

  • Experience in large-scale healthcare implementations or consulting environments

  • Familiarity with data reporting tools and KPIs related to patient access

Work Environment & Travel:

  • Hybrid or remote with travel as required (typically 25–50% depending on project)

  • May require work across multiple time zones and healthcare settings

Hourly range: $50-$65. The hourly range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skills, experience, training, licensure and certifications, practice area, and other business and organizational needs.
