Job description

With over 30,000 customers, including a third of Fortune 500 companies, Tempo is trusted by organizations across the globe to make their workflows work better.

We create a suite of integrated solutions for time management, resource planning, budget management, roadmapping, program management, reporting and more. We create the tech that enables the modern team to deliver – for every step from first vision to value.

Since our beginning in 2007 as a project to make a time-tracking tool to help a client – Tempo has expanded to become the #1 time management add-on for Jira, and we have developed and acquired a multitude of tools to become one of the most trusted names in the Atlassian ecosystem.

We want everyone to work better – but we also want to be a tech company with a heart. Join us as we continuously innovate our award-winning products, create new solutions, and help the world work smarter, not harder.

We’re looking for an experienced professional and a great team player who is excited to learn. Working within the European Site Reliability Engineer team that takes care of several Tempo products, you’ll also be a member of the bigger Global Site Reliability Engineer team that is responsible for developing the core designs and standards.

What you’ll do:

  • Design, implement, and maintain our infrastructure using best practices

  • Create and support CI/CD pipelines

  • Deploy enterprise-scale projects on AWS

  • Work with latest technologies like Kubernetes

  • Automate key processes, including build, release, and monitoring (alerting and observability), for both infrastructure and products

  • Design and execute technical solutions that improve speed and quality

  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues

  • Participate in the on-call rotation to support our applications

  • Collaborate with team members and other staff

  • Ensure security and compliance requirements are met

Who you are:

  • 5+ years of relevant work experience

  • Confidence working with monitoring and alerting systems

  • Experience in deployment of complex software solutions in a cloud environment

  • Proficiency with AWS or other cloud-hosted services

  • Solid understanding of software design patterns

  • Able to learn quickly and pick up new technologies

  • Highly analytical with a passion for finding solutions to tough problems

  • Responsible, proactive, positive and honest

  • Comfortable with giving and receiving feedback

  • Cares about the tasks’ context and the larger goal, versus just checking off requirements

  • Soliciting input from appropriate stakeholders when making project decisions

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

  • Will be a plus:

    • Experience with Helm, FluxCD, GitHub Actions, Ansible, Datadog

    • Experience with supporting Java/Kotlin apps

    • Experience with developing for Atlassian ecosystem
