About Grover

Founded in 2015, Grover enables consumers and businesses across Europe to subscribe to tech devices and comprehensive technology solutions - from individual smartphones, laptops, and wearables to full corporate device setups. The company offers access to over 1,000 unique tech items on flexible and financially convenient terms. A pioneer of the circular economy, Grover refurbishes and recirculates devices to help eliminate e-waste.

We're growing our Procurement team and looking for a freelance Direct Buyer to support us.

Please note: this is a freelance (contract) engagement, not a permanent position. We'll align on contract duration, weekly capacity, and your day rate during the process.

As a freelance Direct Buyer, you'll sit at the heart of one of the fastest-moving parts of our business, sourcing the devices that power Grover's subscription catalogue across Europe. You'll work with our Head of Procurement and closely with Category Management. We're scaling into a full procurement function, so you'll get real ownership and visible impact from day one: hands-on work across new and B-stock sourcing, OEM relationships and supplier negotiations.

🎯  What you will contribute:

  • One of our fastest-growing categories, mainly smart home, TV and audio, with exposure across the wider portfolio
  • Sourcing stock at the right price: your first 90 days are about finding available inventory while hitting a 15–20% discount vs RRP
  • The procurement strategy behind your categories, plus access to trade fairs and industry events as we bring new products on board

What you bring ✅

  • 1-4 years' experience in direct buying/purchasing (within e-commerce or tech companies is preferred)
  • Knowledge of the consumer electronics B-stock supplier industry in Poland/Eastern Europe is a significant advantage 
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills: you're comfortable talking directly with suppliers
  • An analytical mindset, confident working with data and spreadsheets
  • Knowledge of consumer electronics categories (mobile, audio, smart home, TV) is a plus
  • Organised and detail-oriented: you can manage multiple workstreams at once
  • A registered freelance setup that allows you to work with clients in Germany
  • Fluent English (C1+) and Native Lithuanian language skills
