  • Reports to: APJ Customer Success Leadership

Role Overview 

The Program Leader is EDB's single, senior point of strategic post-sales ownership for our most complex and high-value enterprise accounts. This role orchestrates multi-vendor landscapes,drives senior executive (C-level) alignment, and ensures successful execution of critical technology transformations. This is an orchestration and relationship management mandate with executive altitude, focused on securing customer confidence, long-term retention, and commercial expansion.

What this role owns

  • Strategic relationship ownership — the named owner across both the partner and the end customer; carries the engagement narrative and is the contact senior stakeholders recognise and trust.
  • Executive escalation loop — manages executive-level escalations, runs the executive communication lane during significant incidents to maintain alignment.
  • Governance & Cadence: Own executive cadence, Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs),and alignment across internal field functions (Support, Professional Services, Product).
  • Value Validation: Proactively position EDB’s value within customer roadmaps to turn technical stability into measurable business outcomes.

  • The customer engages at senior level through one consistent, trusted relationship with the Program Leader.
  • Engagements are aligned with processes with the right assurance delivered through influence of the Program Leader’s strategic relationships built.
  • Confidence increases across partner and end-customer (engagement quality, process adoption, C-level sentiment).
  • EDB is positioned with value in strategic conversations.
  • The engagement model is sustainable and has a constant review of areas of further optimization.

Required experience & profile

  • 15+ years in enterprise, customer-facing technology roles, building and holding senior strategic relationships.
  • Has held senior stakeholder conversations with credibility; comfortable at C-suite altitude.
  • Distributed-systems or enterprise-database background strongly preferred (EDB or comparable an advantage); engages internal technical leadership without owning the fix.
  • Banking / financial-services domain experience strongly preferred; understands regulated, systemically important environments.
  • Experience through partners / SIs and in multi-vendor competitive landscapes.
  • India-based, within range of Mumbai/Tier-1 cities; present in person when it matters; APJ hours.

 

Commercial Growth: Improve Net Revenue Retention (NRR), Gross Revenue Retention (GRR) and identify expansion opportunities 

Customer Sentiment: Improve Net Promoter Score (NPS) and Customer Satisfaction (CSAT) scores

Support & Resolution Efficiency: Reduce time to ticket closure and de-escalate high pressure support interactions.  Accelerate technical resolution timeframes for business critical issues.

Program Delivery Speed: Optimize time-to-value for new applications, ensuring rollout timelines meet customer expectations.
