Job description

ICRON, a leading provider of Optimized Decision Making and Supply Chain Optimization software solutions, is looking for an experienced Cloud Engineer to join our team in Istanbul office.

Responsibilities: 


  • Ensuring that our software is up and running efficiently and cost effectively on public and private cloud environments
  • Administering and maintaining production and development environments including RBAC
  • Preparation and maintenance of infrastructure-as-code scripts
  • Ensuring that continuous monitoring, tracing and alerting systems are in place for deployed services
  • Investigation and adjustment of our cloud deployment strategies to different cloud providers
  • Collaboration with software development teams on application modernization projects and improvements to CI/CD pipelines
  • Contribution to the planning of application/infrastructure releases and configuration changes
  • Interaction with key internal and external stakeholders to troubleshoot and resolve connectivity and performance problems by investigating software, compute infrastructure and network layers
  • Design of appropriate metrics for reporting on key performance and quality indicators
  • Hardening IT infrastructure based on security audits, standards and industry best practices (e.g. vulnerability scanning, penetration testing and ISO27001/17/18)
  • Continuous self-development, keeping up to date with developments and learning about the latest public cloud products and IaaS / PaaS services and increasing your knowledge


Required Qualifications: 


  • Bachelor's degree with a related major
  • Minimum 2 years of experience, preferably 4+ years.
  • Operational experience supporting cloud technologies and services at an enterprise, multi-tenant environment
  • Demonstrable experience with at least one major cloud platform (preferably Microsoft Azure) and associated technologies
  • Knowledge of build, deployment, automation, networking, and security technologies in cloud and hybrid environments
  • Knowledge of deployment and management of PaaS services for identity management, networking, storage, security services, compute, database, backup/recovery/high availability services


Preferred Qualifications: 


  • Experience on SQL Server Administrative Tasks
  • Administration experience on Linux/Windows servers.
  • Knowledge of DevOps and continuous integration tools, including Azure DevOps
  • Experience with a scripting language such as PowerShell or Python, and usage of cloud provider CLIs / APIs for automation
  • Solid understanding and experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) principles and practices, including proficiency in tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar technologies
  • Ability to define and manage infrastructure deployments in a declarative and automated manner
  • Proficiency in containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes, including experience in container orchestration, deployment, and management
  • Familiarity with container registries, container networking, and container security best practices is desired
