Job Purpose

Honda Development & Manufacturing of America (HDMA) Regional Packaging is responsible for the development, implementation, and maintenance of returnable packaging for all North America Facilities. In the Supplier Account Manager Role, you are responsible for strategic supplier & returns improvement, supply chain concerns, customer service and data organization / trend identification.Responsible for effective two-way communication and collaboration between Honda and supplier. Additional responsibilities include trend identification, data analysis, and categorization / prioritization of issues.

Key Accountabilities

  • Support supply chain investigation and resolution leveraging data and fact-based research.
  • Timely first touch, understanding, and categorization of supply chain concerns/issues.
  • Support partnership and networking with Local Operations supply chain team members to ensure collaboration and communication.
  • Leverage key indicators and metrics to drive down resolution time and minimize supply chain disruptions.
  • Ensure effective two-way communication and collaboration between Honda and supplier.
  • Support engagement and ensure completed activity is meeting the expected quality and delivery needs of Honda.
  • Create beneficial feedback loop with supplier and strengthen relationship to support continuous improvement.
  • Identify, evaluate, and escalate critical issues to management to ensure allocation of resources and appropriate action is taken in a timely manner.
  • Understand the trends and categorize issues to ensure proper follow up for recurrence prevention.
  • Organize, format and share data that supports supply chain improvement initiatives.

Qualifications, Experience, and Skills

Minimum Educational Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain field
  • Bachelor’s degree in business field, 1-2 years job experience.

Minimum Experience: 0-4 years of experience in related supply chain field.

Working Conditions

  • Office/Hybrid Work From Home (90/10) environment with periods of local & regional travel.
  • On-site work environment supporting the office at Regional Operations level.
  • 5 hours/week OT.
  • Limited travel to other Honda sites.
