Job Summary:

Seeking for a Business Process & Governance Engineer to collaborate with business, IT, privacy, and security units to enhance governance capabilities across Data, Information, and AI Governance programs. Transform evolving needs into practical processes and tools with minimal oversight.

Position Duties:

• Design and implement governance processes and documentation for programs at varying maturity levels.
• Translate business needs into frameworks, tools, and training materials.
• Partner with stakeholders across technical and non-technical audiences to drive adoption.
• Operate with autonomy — identify gaps, propose solutions, and execute without a predefined playbook.
• Adapt across programs as priorities shift, applying core skills to different levels of ambiguity and structure.

Required Skills:

• Quickly grasps governance, policy, or regulatory requirements and translates them into clear processes and documentation.
• Comfortable building structure from ambiguity.
• Strong process design, documentation, and analytical skills.
• Skilled communicator who adapts across technical and executive audiences.
• Self-directed, results-oriented, and adaptable to shifting priorities.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in higher education or another complex, decentralized institutional environment.
• Exposure to governance, compliance, or risk-related work (data, information, or AI).

Qualifications:

5-8 years of experience in business process, governance, compliance, IT business analysis, or a related field. Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent professional experience considered.

Experience Required / Desired:

• Proven work experience designing, implementing, or improving business processes, workflows, or governance frameworks - Required 4 Years
• Proven work experience creating documentation, guides, or training materials for varied technical and business audiences - Required 4 Years
• Proven work experience partnering with cross-functional stakeholders to drive adoption of new processes or initiatives - Required 4 Years
• Proven work experience independently identifying gaps and building solutions without an established playbook - Required 3 Years
• Experience with data, information, or AI governance, compliance, or risk-related work - Highly desired 2 Years
• Experience in higher education or another complex, decentralized institutional environment - Highly desired 2 Years
