IT Solutions Consultant

Job Purpose:  

Works in a business process team as a subject related expert and as a consultant at a SAP Super User Level.

Responsibilities:

• Serves as a functional system expert.

• Participates in business report and requirement gathering.

• Focuses on end-to-end processes and on cross functional impact.

• Processes definition of business requirements.

• Communicates to other specialists for world-wide best practice expertise and collaboration for System Development.

• Cooperates with team members (super users, consultants, developers,) to identify system requirements and system design.

• Consults with business on change-requests.

• Provides advice for functional specifications.

• Provides support to consultants and developers during the system construction phase, roll-out and post go-live phases.

• Reviews and consults test scenarios and test scripts.

• Supports functional, cross functional, integration, end-to-end, and user acceptance testing.

• Participates in the development of end user training and knowledge transfer to country trainers and experts.

• Ensures knowledge transfer to training specialist and reviews training material.

• Provides post go-live support on-site and off-site.

• Provides input into planning.

• Focuses on end-to-end processes and on cross functional impact

• Performs additional duties as assigned

• Meets attendance and punctuality standards

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

• Able to analyze and resolve complex issues and problems in a sound and timely fashion.

• Able to constructively work under stress and pressure when faced with high workloads and deadlines.

• Able to facilitate group interactions.

• Knowledge and/or expertise in related area of responsibility.

• Possesses strong leadership skills with a willingness to lead, create new ideas, and be assertive.

• Possesses strong organizational and time management skills, driving tasks to completion.

• Able to use relevant computer system applications (which may include spreadsheets, word processors, databases, etc) at an intermediate level.

• Minimum 4 years IT project and/or support experience with extensive knowledge associated systems utilized by the business unit in which the SME supports preferred

• Excellent analysis, communication and documentation skills required

• Able to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
