About the project
TUI, is a global business with over 70 000 people on board, great history and challenging plans for building a digital future. TUI is the largest leisure, travel and tourism company globally, and it owns travel agencies, hotels, airlines, cruise ships and retail shops.

As an Automated Quality Engineer,you will play a key role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and security of software products and services. Working within a cross-functional Agile team, you will drive quality engineering practices across the entire software development lifecycle, from design through deployment and operation. You will contribute to test strategy, test automation, quality assurance processes, and continuous improvement initiatives while promoting a strong DevSecOps mindset.

 

Responsibilities:
  • Design, execute, and optimize automated tests across the entire testing pyramid (functional, integration, contract, performance, and load testing)
  • Integrate automated testing into CI/CD process
  • Advocate for high-quality feature specifications in collaboration with Product Owners
  • Act as the sole QA Engineer in the team: design meaningful test cases and implement automation for different types of testing
  • Demonstrate a quality-first mindset, ensuring the tests are reliable, reusable, and represent a strong understanding of the product flow and quality assurance principles
  • Assists with the development of test strategies, creation of appropriate test harnesses and implementation of ongoing metrics
Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience in testing and good understanding of its concepts
  • Experience creating test automation frameworks from scratch and managing test cases and test strategies
  • Experience in JavaScript/Typescript automation
  • Hands-on experience with Atlassian tools (JIRA, Confluence) and related integrations
  • Experience with Playwright (Test Runner, API Testing, Request Interception, PageObject pattern)
  • Hands-on experience with Postman (or similar tools), REST APIs, GraphQL, and TypeScript.
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Datadog or CloudWatch.
  • Practical experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS
  • Proficiency in end-to-end application testing
  • Familiarity with GitLab CI and related automation tools
  • Upper-intermediate level of spoken and written English
