Job description

Clario, a part of Thermo Fisher Scientific is seeking a Software Engineer I to support the development of innovative software solutions that enable clinical trials and healthcare advancements. In this role, you will contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of applications used by radiologists, clinical data managers, and global partners. You will work with modern technologies to deliver high-quality, compliant software while continuously improving processes and contributing to team success.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Analyze requirements and contribute to software design, development, testing, and debugging of applications

  • Develop, test, and maintain high-quality code using modern programming languages and tools

  • Identify and communicate gaps in requirements, design, and implementation to improve overall solution quality

  • Write clear and concise unit tests with appropriate coverage

  • Perform code reviews and contribute to design discussions, identifying alternatives and trade-offs

  • Troubleshoot application issues, isolate root causes, and support issue resolution

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product management, QA, and operations

  • Participate in product demonstrations and support user feedback sessions

  • Follow established development standards, patterns, and regulatory requirements

  • Contribute to documentation, installation processes, and system maintenance procedures

  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve processes, quality, and team efficiency

What We Look For

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience

  • 1+ years of experience in software development

  • Experience working with Java, Python, XML, HTML, and relational databases

  • Strong problem-solving skills and analytical thinking

  • Familiarity with software development lifecycle practices and testing methodologies

  • Knowledge of clinical trials or pharmaceutical environments preferred

  • Understanding of regulatory requirements such as GxP and 21 CFR Part 11 preferred

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills in a global team environment

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently or within a team

  • Commitment to delivering high-quality, reliable software solutions

  • Based in India or able to work in India in alignment with local employment requirements
