Job description

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Security Software Data Engineer III to support enterprise security initiatives focused on encryption, certificate lifecycle management, key management, and enterprise cryptographic infrastructure.

This role combines strong technical expertise with project leadership responsibilities, requiring the ability to coordinate complex security initiatives while partnering with engineering, infrastructure, security, and business stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with enterprise encryption technologies, Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), certificate management, secrets management, and security automation. Experience with enterprise security platforms such as Venafi, CyberArk, Fortanix, or HashiCorp Vault is highly preferred.

Location: Remote (EST/CST Preferred)

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead enterprise security infrastructure projects from planning through implementation

  • Coordinate security, infrastructure, engineering, and operations teams

  • Manage encryption and certificate lifecycle initiatives

  • Oversee enterprise key management implementations

  • Coordinate Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) activities

  • Ensure project delivery meets quality, schedule, and budget expectations

  • Identify technical risks and develop mitigation strategies

  • Communicate with executive sponsors and project stakeholders

  • Manage project documentation and reporting

  • Ensure compliance with enterprise governance standards

  • Coordinate vendor relationships when required

  • Support security audits and compliance initiatives

  • Resolve cross-project conflicts and resource constraints

  • Drive continuous improvement across security engineering processes

  • Mentor junior project managers and technical team members
