Job description

Jr. Enterprise Solutions Engineers are part problem solvers and part architect, developing expertise across solution, product, data, and audience. They operate in close partnership with our sales, client partners, solutions strategy, product, and delivery teams to help translate client business goals into a scalable technical vision, with a particular emphasis on data. They focus on creating value for businesses by helping to uncover root-cause pain points and technical blockers, supporting the design of scalable data and mar-tech solutions that solve for measurable ROI.
This is an early-career role built for growth. You'll work alongside expert and principal solutions engineers, owning a real and expanding set of responsibilities from day one while learning the craft of enterprise solutions engineering.

What You'll Own

From the start, you'll be directly responsible for:

  • Collaborating with expert and principal solutions engineers to uncover technical and business requirements for clients, analyzing challenges, and translating them into effective solutions.  Responsibilities include capturing and synthesizing discovery notes, requirements, and client inputs into clear, usable documentation for the broader solutions team.
  • Producing first-draft materials for RFPs/RFIs, client presentations, and solution narratives.
  • Building demos and proof points that showcase Acxiom's capabilities and bring solutions to life.
  • Conducting client, competitive, and market research to inform solution design and positioning.
  • Maintaining solution documentation and keeping deal and solution artifacts organized and current.
  • Applying AI tools to accelerate your research, content creation, and day-to-day workflows, and sharing what works with the team.

What You'll Learn

With guidance from senior solutions engineers, you'll develop the expertise that defines the role:

  • Acxiom's data and identity offerings: Build deep fluency in our audiences, data products, identity resolution, and clean-room capabilities, and learn to map the right solutions to client use cases.
  • Capability and capacity assessment: Learn to determine whether Acxiom has the data and identity capability to solve a given client challenge.
  • Enterprise discovery: Learn to run and facilitate discovery sessions, diagnose root-cause pain points, and gather business and technical requirements that align cross-functional teams before a solution is presented.
  • Solution design: Learn to translate client challenges into scalable, best-practice-aligned data and mar-tech solutions that fit Acxiom and partner capabilities.
  • Technical storytelling: Learn to translate complex technical concepts into clear, outcome-based narratives and to tailor messaging to different stakeholder levels.
  • Applied AI in solutions engineering: Build practical fluency in applying AI tools to discovery, solution design, and deliverable creation, and stay current on emerging AI capabilities relevant to data, mar-tech, and identity.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree with 2+ years' experience in Martech, Adtech, or a data-focused role (e.g., data analyst, data engineer, sales engineer, or similar). Any reference to years of experience should be disregarded in the UK.
  • Foundational understanding of data concepts such as data pipelines, customer data platforms, identity resolution, or analytics.
  • Comfort with AI tools and a demonstrated interest in applying them to everyday work.
  • Understanding of pre-sales mechanics and how deal strategy, pricing inputs, and the RFP/RFI process work on new logo and up-sell opportunities.
  • Strong problem-solving instincts and the ability to grasp complex challenges and weigh feasibility, risk, and value.
  • Clear communication and the ability to explain complex concepts in simple, outcome-focused terms.
  • A collaborative, transparent working style that builds trust across sales, account management, delivery, and strategic advisory teams.
  • A growth mindset and genuine curiosity about emerging trends in data, mar-tech, AI, identity, and privacy.
  • Ownership and accountability: you make timely, objective decisions within scope and take responsibility for your work and results.
