Position Summary:

The Senior Manager, People Success Partner serves as both a strategic advisor and hands-on partner to assigned business leaders, aligning people strategies with business priorities while delivering practical day-to-day support for employees and managers. This role helps strengthen leadership, organizational effectiveness, workforce readiness, employee experience, and business performance.

 

The People Success Partner builds deep business understanding, anticipates talent and organizational needs, advises leaders through change, and partners across People Success to deliver scalable, compliant, and business-focused solutions. This includes supporting talent and performance management, employee relations, workforce planning, policy guidance, people data, and implementation of People Success programs and initiatives.

 

Responsibilities:

Strategic Business Partnership

  • Partner with business leaders through regular meetings to understand priorities, challenges, workforce needs, and opportunities for growth.
  • Translate business goals into people strategies that support performance, scalability, organizational effectiveness, and Travere’s values and culture.
  • Maintain strong business literacy, including client group objectives, goals, financial context, midrange plans, culture, and external business factors.
  • Partner proactively with People Success colleagues and Centers of Excellence to deliver coordinated, high-quality solutions for the business.

 

Workforce Planning and Organizational Effectiveness

  • Guide leaders on workforce planning, succession planning, organizational design, restructurings, and change management.
  • Identify capability gaps, leadership needs, and organizational risks that may impact business performance.
  • Advise on team effectiveness, decision-making, accountability, collaboration, and ways to improve performance and scalability.

 

Talent, Performance, and Leadership Support

  • Advise client groups on talent and performance topics, including leadership development, performance management, career development, coaching, counseling, corrective action, and retention.
  • Participate in hiring, promotion, succession, and talent planning discussions for assigned client groups.
  • Identify training and coaching needs and support or facilitate sessions as appropriate.
  • Work closely with managers and employees to improve working relationships, build morale, increase productivity, and support retention.

 

Employee Relations, Compliance, and Risk Management

  • Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues with strong judgment, confidentiality, objectivity, and care.
  • Conduct thorough, fair, and effective investigations.
  • Maintain knowledge of employment laws, policies, and compliance requirements to reduce risk and support sound people decisions.
  • Provide policy guidance and interpretation, including corrective action recommendations as appropriate.
  • Partner with Legal and Compliance as needed.

 

People Insights, Operations, and Program Delivery

  • Analyze trends, metrics, and employee data to identify opportunities, inform recommendations, and support business decisions.
  • Perform employee-related data management and reporting in Workday.
  • Support the rollout, communication, interpretation, and implementation of People Success programs, policies, processes, and initiatives.
  • Recommend practical improvements to processes, tools, and ways of working that create greater consistency, efficiency, and scalability.

 

Culture and Employee Experience

  • Help create an environment where employees feel supported, connected, accountable, and able to do their best work.
  • Reinforce Travere’s values and culture through leader coaching, employee support, and day-to-day partnership.
  • Build trusted relationships across assigned client groups and People Success.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

 

Education/Experience Requirements:

·       Bachelor’s degree in business, behavioral sciences, law, or related discipline required. Equivalent combination of education and applicable job experience may be considered.

·       6+ years of progressive work experience in Human Resources required. Preferably in a Business Partner, HR Operations, Employee Relations, or similar role including strong work experience resolving complex employee relations issues. Experience in life sciences, biotech, research and development, or pharma preferred.

·       Strong business acumen and working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, benefits, employee relations, diversity, performance management, HRIS, talent acquisition, talent management, learning and development, compliance, and employment laws (federal, California, and other states).

·       HR Certified Professional credential highly preferred.

  • Well organized with the ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage shifting responsibilities in a complex, dynamic, cross-functional teamwork environment.
  • Excellent collaboration skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving and time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to adapt to modification and changes to project plans, demonstrating flexibility to implement new strategies and tactics to accommodate these changes.
  • Ability to acquire a thorough understanding of the organization’s hierarchy, jobs, qualifications, compensation practices, and the administrative practices related to those factors.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. Familiarity with HR information systems (Workday preferred).
  • This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities but does need to work through others and serve as a coach and mentor for others in the organization.
  • Ability to travel 5% domestic and internationally. 
  • All positions have an essential job function to be able to perform face to face work with colleagues and/or onsite in San Diego. No role is expected to be 100% remote.

Target Base Pay Range:

$132,000.00 - $172,000.00
