Job Summary:

The Advanced Software QA Engineer is responsible for ensuring high-quality, reliable systems through thoughtful, risk-based manual testing. This role operates with a high degree of autonomy, owns quality outcomes and reporting across multiple systems, and partners closely with cross-functional teams to deliver maximum customer value.

This position focuses on intentional testing by validating not only documented requirements but also real-world system behavior. The Advanced Software QA Engineer proactively identifies risks, influences priorities, and continuously improves quality assurance practices across the team. The ideal candidate is resourceful, technologically savvy, a quick learner, and enjoys solving complex problems. Exceptional attention to detail is essential, along with experience using constituent relationship management tools.

What Your Impact Will Look Like:
  • Create and manage new and existing test plans for features, enhancements, and defects with minimal direction.
  • Define manual quality assurance requirements for complex projects and refine those requirements throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Validate end-user workflows and business logic through thorough manual testing.
  • Execute smoke, functional, regression, integration, and user interface testing.
  • Ensure testing extends beyond documented requirements to include real-world system behavior and customer experience.
  • Identify, assess, and communicate quality risks to cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Document defects with detailed reproduction steps, supporting evidence, and impact assessments.
  • Demonstrate sound judgment and make informed quality-related decisions in fast-paced environments.
  • Advocate for quality-focused scope adjustments when competing priorities arise.
  • Provide recommendations to team leaders regarding initiatives that deliver the greatest value to customers and the business.
You Will Love This Job If You Have:
  • Utilize AI-assisted testing tools to improve productivity, analysis, documentation quality, and test coverage.
  • Create clear prompts and instructions that support test design, defect investigation, and quality assurance activities.
  • Review, validate, and apply engineering judgment to all AI-generated recommendations, test cases, scripts, and outputs before implementation.
  • Maintain awareness of AI-related risks, including inaccurate assumptions, inconsistent results, privacy concerns, and over-reliance on generated content.
  • Apply responsible use of AI tools to support software quality and reliability objectives.
  • Previous experience in software testing or quality engineering within a professional software development environment.
  • Experience collaborating with Product and Design teams to understand requirements, acceptance criteria, and customer needs.
  • Ability to work closely with client-facing teams to gain a strong understanding of end-user workflows.
  • Experience partnering with software engineers to identify and execute effective testing strategies.
  • Participation in test planning, estimation, sprint activities, and quality assurance initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of quality assurance methodologies and continuous improvement practices.
  • Experience working in Agile development environments.
  • Proficiency with GitHub, Postman, Atlassian products, and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Willingness and ability to learn and apply AI-assisted testing practices.
  • Familiarity with constituent relationship management tools is preferred.
Pay Range: USD $77,000.00 - USD $118,000.00 /Yr. About Us:
