Job Description

The Sr. Software Engineer is responsible for developing software with a distributed team in the for business-critical software applications and integrations. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high quality solutions that align with our business objectives. The CEC Information technology portfolio is built on custom .NET applications running in Microsoft Azure and integrations with third-party SaaS solutions. Key systems include ecommerce, NCR Voyix Aloha point of sale platform, SEMNOX gaming system, and Workday. 

The ideal candidate will possess strong technical development skills and the ability to communicate effectively with both developers and business leaders to align technical strategies with organizational priorities. This position offers some work-from-home (WFH) flexibility. 

Major Responsibilities: 

  • Develops, delivers, and maintains software applications, systems, third-party integrations, and technology platforms based on business requirements. 

  • Establishes best practices to foster a high-performing software engineering environment, ensuring the production of secure, scalable, resilient, and efficient software. 

  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure code quality, testing, piloting, installation, and implementation are executed efficiently. 

  • Promotes a mindset of continuous improvement and curiosity, driving speed to market at a lower cost. 

  • Develop back-end applications, APIs, and WinForm apps using C# .NET background using both standard and full .NET Frameworks 

  • Develop front-end applications using using Angular. 

  • Perform peer code reviews and mentor jr. developers to adhere to development best practices and design patterns. 

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering or relevant field of study, or equivalent work experience 

  • 6+ years of IT and business industry work experience 

  • Demonstrated ability to develop and lead high performance, globally distributed development teams 

  • Demonstrated continuous technical learning skills 

  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships across the organization with a sharp focus on the customer – both internal and external 

  • Strong communication and presentation skills  

  • Experience in a fast paced, Agile, continuous integration environment 

Physical Demands: 

To perform the duties of this position, the incumbent must have the ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, twist, reach, and carry, lift, pull, push between 1 – 25 lbs. Incumbent must use a computer, with the repetitive movement of both hands. Incumbent must be able to work an 8-hour shift, with some overtime. Incumbent must also be available to travel to various locations by airplane or by operating a vehicle if needed.
