Job description

This is a remote position.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Preparation of financial statements and income tax returns for individuals, companies, trusts, and partnerships.
Preparation and management of taxation compliance for ITR, CTR, TRT,FBT, BAS and PTR.
Preparation of detailed CGT calculations and Division 7A workings.
Independent development of tax planning strategies for complex advisory matters.
Summarising client queries in neat and concise lists for other team members to clarify with clients.
Reviewing cloud-based bookkeeping (Xero and MYOB) to ensure data integrity.
Contributing to the continuous improvement of internal firm processes.

Requirements

5+ years’ experience working with Australian tax law and in a public practice environment.
A bachelor’s degree in accounting, Commerce, or a related field.
A CA or CPA qualification.
Strong technical tax knowledge and a high level of attention to detail.
Proficiency in Xero and related cloud-based accounting ecosystems.
Strong written and verbal communication skills: we value "real" conversations.A proactive, commercial mindset with a drive to help clients succeed.
