Job description

Overview:

National Debt Relief is scaling its marketing and product data infrastructure. We're hiring a Platform Manager to own the architecture, governance, and enablement of one of our strategic marketing, analytics, or experimentation platforms — spanning categories such as Customer Data Platforms, Tag Management, Experimentation & Feature Flags, or Partner Attribution.

This is a platform-ownership role, not an operations role. You won't run day-to-day campaigns, publish tags, or execute experiments yourself — you'll build the standards, integrations, and guardrails that let the teams who do that work do it reliably and consistently. You'll partner closely with Engineering, Analytics, Product, Marketing, and Operations to drive adoption and maximize the platform's value across the org.

Success in this role looks like clear, adopted governance documentation that reduces ad hoc configuration decisions; improved data quality and reliability metrics for the owned platform within 2–3 quarters; cross-functional teams self-serving confidently with fewer escalations over time; and a vendor relationship actively managed toward better roadmap alignment and cost efficiency.

Responsibilities:

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

  • Architecture & Governance
    • Own technical architecture and configuration standards for your assigned platform
    • Define configuration, integration, and maintenance standards across environments
    • Maintain governance documentation: implementation standards, naming conventions, data schemas, access controls, and operational best practices
  • Integration & Enablement
    • Partner with Data Engineering, Analytics Engineering, and Product Engineering to integrate the platform into the broader data ecosystem
    • Build documentation, onboarding materials, and training so business teams can use the platform confidently and consistently
  • Platform Health & Vendor Management
    • Monitor data quality, reliability, latency, coverage, and adoption; define and track health metrics for the platform
    • Serve as the internal subject matter expert for escalations and complex troubleshooting
    • Own the vendor relationship: renewals, licensing, feature evaluation, and SLAs
    • Identify opportunities to reduce technical debt and improve platform capabilities
  • Platform-Specific Ownership (varies by assignment)
    • Customer Data Platform — event taxonomy and customer data governance
    • Tag Management — tag architecture and deployment standards
    • Partner Attribution — attribution models and commission configuration
    • Experimentation & Feature Flags — experimentation frameworks and feature flag governance
    • Platform integrations, downstream data quality, security, and access management (applies across all categories)
Qualifications:

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Data Analytics, Marketing, Computer Science, Information Systems) or equivalent practical experience
  • 6 years of professional experience in MarTech, analytics engineering, growth engineering, or platform management
  • Demonstrated experience owning or administering at least one enterprise-grade platform in a relevant category (Customer Data Platform, Tag Management, Experimentation & Feature Flags, or Partner Attribution)
  • Experience working in a cross-functional environment spanning Engineering, Analytics, Product, and Marketing stakeholders
  • Prior experience in a regulated industry (fintech, financial services, healthcare) is a plus but not required

Required Skills/Abilities

  • Hands-on experience administering or governing an enterprise platform in one or more of the following categories:
    • Customer Data Platform (Segment, mParticle, RudderStack)
    • Tag Management (Google Tag Manager, Tealium, Adobe Launch)
    • Experimentation & Feature Flags (Statsig, LaunchDarkly, Optimizely)
    • Partner Attribution (PartnerStack, Impact, Everflow)
  • Solid understanding of data flow through modern data ecosystems — collection, instrumentation, transformation, warehousing, downstream consumption
  • Experience writing governance standards and implementation documentation
  • Track record of driving cross-functional adoption without direct authority
  • Strong troubleshooting instincts, with the judgment to balance technical depth against business impact
  • Comfortable owning ambiguous scope independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Preferred:
    • Platform ownership experience in fintech, financial services, or high-growth tech
    • Familiarity with Snowflake, dbt, Sigma, Salesforce, or similar cloud data platforms
    • Experience with vendor contracts, licensing negotiations, or SLA management
    • Experience supporting platform migrations or large-scale architecture changes

National Debt Relief Role Qualifications:

  • Computer competency and ability to work with a computer.
  • Prioritize multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Punctuality expected, ready to report to work on a consistent basis.
  • Attain and maintain high performance expectations on a monthly basis.
  • Work in a fast-paced, high-volume setting.
  • Use and navigate multiple computer systems with exceptional multi-tasking skills.
  • Remain calm and professional during difficult discussions.
  • Take constructive feedback.
