Dynamics of the Role
This is an exciting time at TransUnion CIBIL. With investments in our people, technology and new business markets, we are redefining the role and purpose of a credit bureau. We are looking for a hands on AI Engineer to design, build, and deploy AI-driven solutions addressing business problems across operations and data science. This role requires strong implementation capability with modern LLM frameworks and practical system integration experience.

This is a remote position which may require occasional in-person attendance at work-related events at the discretion of management.

Role Overview And Core Responsibilities

Roles & Responsibilities

• Design and implement Generative AI solutions (LLMs, RAG, agents) for Ops and DS use cases

• Develop and deploy use cases such as text classification and generating vector embeddings for structured (tabular) data, enabling end-to-end AI/ML solution development tailored to customer needs

• Build scalable pipelines integrating structured + unstructured data into AI systems

• Develop and optimize prompt engineering, embeddings, and retrieval systems

• Work closely with business teams to translate use cases into functional AI solutions

• Integrate GenAI applications into existing enterprise systems and workflows

• Evaluate models for performance, cost, latency, and accuracy

• Ensure governance, security, and responsible AI practices

• Mentor junior engineers where needed


Required Knowledge And Experiences

Experience and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Statistics, Economics, Data Science, or related fields.

• 8 years of experience in analytics (operations, business, or product analytics preferred).

• Strong programming in Python

• Hands-on experience with LLMs (OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, or open-source models like Llama/Mistral)

• Strong prompt engineering capabilities to design and optimize LLM interactions for real-world applications

• Strong understanding of deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow and PyTorch, including model architecture design, training, fine-tuning, and optimization

• Expertise in RAG architectures, vector databases (Pinecone, FAISS, Weaviate, etc.)

• Experience with LangChain / LlamaIndex / similar orchestration frameworks

• Solid understanding of ML fundamentals and NLP concepts

• Experience deploying solutions on cloud platforms (Azure/AWS/GCP)

• Familiarity with APIs, microservices, and data pipelines
