Job Role: Sales AI Automation Specialist

Compensation range: $1,500 to $2,200 AUD/monthly

Engagement type: Independent Contractor Agreement

Work Schedule: This role is expected to align with the AU business hours (approx. 9 AM - 5 PM, Monday to Friday) for collaboration, but as a contractor, you’ll have flexibility in how you manage your time.

Role Overview:

We are looking for a Sales AI Automation Specialist who combines hands-on automation expertise with a strong understanding of sales operations. This role will focus on designing, building, and optimising AI-powered workflows that support the end-to-end sales process, enabling the business to scale more efficiently.

You'll work closely with leadership and the marketing team to develop intelligent automations that reduce manual work, improve lead management, enhance customer engagement, and connect multiple business systems. Success in this role requires someone who understands how sales teams operate and can independently translate business requirements into practical automation solutions.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Design, build, and maintain AI-powered sales automation workflows using Make.com, n8n, OpenAI, Claude, and other modern AI tools.
  • Analyze the client's existing sales process and identify opportunities for automation and process improvement.
  • Develop automations covering lead capture, qualification, CRM updates, follow-up sequences, reporting, and internal notifications.
  • Collaborate closely with the marketing team to ensure automation workflows support lead generation and conversion objectives.
  • Integrate multiple software platforms and APIs to create seamless business processes.
  • Assist in the implementation and optimisation of ClickUp workflows and project automation.
  • Support the development of AI-powered voice solutions and conversational automation where applicable.
  • Troubleshoot workflow issues and continuously improve automation performance.
  • Document automation processes and maintain clear technical documentation.
  • Stay up to date with emerging AI tools, automation platforms, and industry best practices.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a sales, sales operations, revenue operations, or commercial role with a solid understanding of the full sales lifecycle.
  • Proven experience building business automations using Make.com and n8n.
  • Experience integrating OpenAI, Claude, or other Large Language Models (LLMs) into business workflows.
  • Strong understanding of API integrations, webhooks, and workflow logic.
  • Experience working with CRM platforms and sales automation tools.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into scalable automation solutions.
  • Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision and taking ownership of projects.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Experience with ClickUp automation, voice AI, or marketing automation platforms will be highly regarded.
  • Previous experience supporting Australian businesses is advantageous.
