Rivel is currently seeking a talented, self-assured Account Manager, Banking Client Growth to join our Rivel Banking Research division in a fully remote or hybrid capacity, if local to Westport, CT.

Rivel uses a data-driven approach to give banks and credit unions a deeper understanding of their customers’ and prospective customers’ key decision drivers. Rivel Banking Research conducts over 200,000 interviews annually to clarify business and banking consumers’ experiences and pain points among all local financial institutions, measuring over 90 perception metrics. With the capability to target that information down to the zip code, Rivel helps financial institutions increase their market share, create effective messaging and focus on the right products to drive brand awareness and growth. As a full-service market research firm for financial institutions, Rivel Banking Research provides custom support for clients including focus groups, product development studies and competitive benchmarking.

About You
As a client-facing, relationship-driven professional, you excel at building long-term partnerships and delivering measurable value. In this role, you will serve as a relationship lead, sharing data and insights to meet client expectations. You will expand client accounts through regular conversations and a strategic understanding of their growth and analytic needs. You bring a customer success mindset to every relationship, providing proactive guidance, supporting client value and thriving in a commission-based environment. You are confidently leading renewal conversations and driving revenue growth within existing accounts. Collaboration with internal partners will also be key to ensuring a seamless, high-quality client experience.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: 
  • Own and independently manage a sizable portfolio of banking and credit union client relationships as the primary point of contact
  • Build strong client partnerships through proactive communication, timely delivery of relevant research and clear, value-added insights that address key business needs and priorities
  • Collaborate with the research team and consultants to translate research insights and data into clear recommendations that support client decision-making
  • Grow account revenue through upsell and expansion opportunities within your book of business
  • Own the renewal process, including timing, positioning, and proposal through regular client communication
  • Build strategic relationships with key client stakeholders across your client book to strengthen long-term partnerships and retention

REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in account management, client success or consultative sales roles
  • Proven ability to own and grow a book of business, with revenue accountability
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills, including experience working directly with senior-level clients
  • Ability to translate research, data or insights into clear business recommendations, in collaboration with colleagues
  • Commercial mindset with comfort leading renewal and expansion conversations
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple client relationships independently
  • Proficiency with MS Office and comfortable working through modern database and communication systems
  • Alignment with Rivel’s core values

The range of base compensation for this position is a minimum of $72,000 to a maximum of $82,000, with opportunity for sales commission. Compensation for any employee in this position is adjusted based on skill, effort, responsibility, education, training, credentials, geographic location, working conditions and/or experience.
