Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Java Software Engineer (AI-Driven Development) who is passionate about building high-quality software and leveraging Artificial Intelligence to transform modern software development. This role is ideal for an engineer who not only writes exceptional code but also embraces AI as an essential part of their daily engineering workflow.

The successful candidate will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable enterprise applications while driving the adoption of AI-powered development practices across the engineering team.


Key Functions:

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Java and Spring Boot.
  • Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and integrate with internal and external services.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following modern software engineering best practices.
  • Participate in software architecture discussions and contribute to technical design decisions.
  • Perform code reviews and mentor junior developers where appropriate.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers, QA Engineers, DevOps, and Frontend Developers to deliver high-quality software.
  • Develop and execute unit and integration tests to ensure application reliability.
  • Participate in CI/CD processes and support deployment activities.
  • Contribute to frontend development using Angular and TypeScript when required.
  • Continuously identify opportunities to improve system performance, scalability, and maintainability.


AI-Driven Engineering Responsibilities:

  • Improve engineering productivity through AI-assisted workflows.
  • Contribute to the adoption and continuous improvement of AI-enabled development practices across the team.

 

Core Competencies and Required Background:

  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in Java software development.
  • Strong proficiency with Java 17+.
  • Extensive experience with Spring Boot.
  • Strong understanding of REST APIs.
  • Experience working with relational databases.
  • Solid knowledge of software architecture and design patterns.
  • Strong understanding of clean code principles and software engineering best practices.
  • Experience with unit and integration testing.
  • Experience using Git, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and modern software development workflows.
  • Practical experience with Angular and TypeScript.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within cross-functional teams.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with the following will be considered a strong advantage:
  • AI coding assistants such as ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, Claude, Cursor, or similar tools.
  • Open-source or open-weight Large Language Models (LLMs), including Llama, Qwen, Mistral, DeepSeek, or similar.
  • Local AI inference frameworks or model runners such as Ollama, vLLM, LM Studio, or equivalent.
  • Integration of AI into the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Experience implementing AI-enabled engineering workflows and development automation.
