Job description

About the Role:

The Pricing and Commercial Analyst will play a critical role in shaping competitive, data-driven pricing strategies and market intelligence for our staffing and workforce solutions across both government and private sectors. Working closely with Finance, Business Development, Proposal Management, and Delivery teams, this individual will leverage business intelligence and labor market data to ensure our proposals meet client expectations, align with organizational margin goals, and comply with regulatory wage standards.

This position is ideal for an analytical professional—such as a Business Intelligence Analyst, RFP Analyst, or Data Analyst—who understands the staffing industry dynamics and thrives on translating complex datasets into winning commercial strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

Proposal & Client Support

  • Partner with Business Development and Proposal teams to develop cost volumes, pricing files, and supporting documentation for commercial RFPs, federal contracts, IDIQs, and task orders.
  • Deliver timely and accurate responses to client pricing requests, contract renewals, and modifications.
  • Provide clear, data-driven recommendations on labor category mapping, bill rates, and multipliers to balance market competitiveness with corporate profitability.

Market Intelligence & Data Analytics

  • Monitor labor market trends, wage adjustments, and workforce dynamics to keep rate benchmarks current and competitive.
  • Track competitor strategies, market shifts, and economic indicators within the staffing and healthcare workforce sectors.
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret data from internal sources (recruitment, delivery, finance) and external sources (Bureau of Labor Statistics, competitor benchmarks, paid subscriptions) to drive strategic decisions.

Compliance & Regulatory Alignment

  • Interpret and apply labor regulations, including Service Contract Act (SCA) wage determinations, Department of Labor guidelines, and regional living wage compliance for staffing positions.
  • Ensure proposal submissions reflect accurate cost structures, including fringe benefits, health and welfare requirements, and locality-specific wage standards.
  • Support the maintenance of cost/pricing models that account for direct wages, overhead, G&A, and fee structures in line with government cost principles (FAR).

Tools, Reporting & Process Improvement

  • Develop and maintain analytical tools, pricing templates, and dashboards to improve team efficiency and reporting accuracy.
  • Support scenario modeling, margin profitability analysis, and executive reporting to guide leadership decision-making.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Finance, Economics, Data Science, Business, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Experience: 2+ years of experience in Business Intelligence, RFP/Proposal analysis, Financial analysis, or Operations analytics, ideally within the staffing, recruitment, or professional services industry.
  • Technical Skills: High proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables, data modeling). Experience with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau), ERPs, or applicant tracking systems (ATS) is a strong plus.
  • Analytical Mindset: Strong quantitative skills with a proven ability to interpret complex, disparate datasets and translate them into clear, actionable commercial recommendations.
  • Knowledge (Preferred but not required): Familiarity with government contracting concepts, SCA wage determinations, or FAR principles is highly advantageous but not required—we are willing to train the right analytical mind.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent communication and collaboration skills; highly organized with the ability to manage multiple proposal deadlines simultaneously.
