Job description

We are seeking a DevOps Manager to provide hands-on technical leadership across application development, DevOps, and technology operations for a global insurance business. This role will oversee internal development teams, manage technology vendors, drive automation and system reliability, and lead the delivery of secure, scalable, and efficient technology solutions that support business growth and operational excellence.

  • Provide hands-on technical leadership across application development, DevOps, system integrations, and technology operations.
  • Lead and mentor internal developers while overseeing outsourced technology vendors and managed service providers.
  • Review solution designs, manage technical decision-making, and ensure secure, scalable, and high-quality technology outcomes.
  • Drive improvements in DevOps practices, deployment automation, release management, system reliability, and operational efficiency.
  • Lead technology projects, platform enhancements, and continuous improvement initiatives across business systems and digital platforms.
  • Oversee system integrations, data flows, and the adoption of AI-enabled tools and automation to improve business processes.
  • Provide strategic technical advice, governance, documentation, and reporting to executive leadership while ensuring compliance, security, and vendor accountability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field is preferred, with senior-level experience in DevOps, software engineering, or technology leadership.
  • Strong technical expertise in modern software development, DevOps, cloud technologies, infrastructure, application environments, and system integrations.
  • Proven experience leading and mentoring development teams while remaining hands-on in solution design, technical reviews, troubleshooting, and delivery.
  • Demonstrated experience managing outsourced technology vendors, software development partners, and managed service providers to ensure quality and performance.
  • Strong understanding of deployment automation, release management, system reliability, security, governance, compliance, and operational best practices.
  • Experience working with WordPress, Python, AI-enabled automation, customer-facing digital platforms, or regulated and global technology environments is highly regarded.
  • Excellent analytical, stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills, with the ability to advise executive leadership and drive technology strategy and operational improvements.
