Senior Specialist, Workforce Development, Grants Administration
100% Remote within California, Must reside in California

What You’ll Do
The Foundation for California Community Colleges (FoundationCCC) Workforce Development Department (WDD) aims to ensure that all learners in California obtain the knowledge, skills, experiences, and networks needed to connect with meaningful work, expand career options, and increase economic and social mobility. WDD works in four primary areas (1) building capacity within K-12, college, apprenticeship, and workforce development systems to effectively serve learners and businesses; (2) serving as employer-of-record for paid work experience; (3) providing wraparound services resource development support; and (4) developing work-based learning models, tools, and technologies. This work is grounded in a commitment to strengthening systems connectivity, promoting career-relevant, learner-centric education and workforce solutions, and eliminating equity gaps in California.
The Senior Specialist will play a critical role in our WDD grants administration projects, which bring federal and state funding to grantees on behalf of partner agencies. The Senior Specialist will serve in a lead capacity and be responsible for high level grants administration, process development and continuous improvement, external relationship management, data analysis for program improvement, and technical assistance.
Act as primary liaison with funders and facilitate funder meetings to ensure strong communication and responsiveness to their needs. Contribute to business development by supporting opportunities to scale relationships
Monitor grantee compliance and fiscal performance. Provide second-level review of invoices and payment amounts to ensure accuracy, analyze expenditures, and flag issues related to spending, performance, compliance, or data.
Provide technical support, training, and guidance documents to grantees and partners. Respond to inquiries with timely follow-up and exceptional service. Support Specialists in resolving complex or escalated issues.
Lead development of grant agreements, in collaboration with FoundationCCC Legal Operations, from template development to final execution.
Manage program reporting for assigned projects. Guide grantees on reporting requirements. Analyze project data, track metrics, and collaborate with WDD leadership to elevate impact data to funders and FoundationCCC leadership.
Attributes for Success
Relevant BA/BS degree; hiring team will consider an equivalent combination of relevant or similar education and experience.
Minimum of five (5) + years of related work experience
Minimum of two (2) + years of experience in an education or nonprofit environment preferred
High proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Microsoft Excel, required.
Experience with customer relationship management software (e.g., Salesforce, Dynamics) and project management software (e.g., Asana) is highly desired.

Budgeted Annual Salary Pay Range:
$76,000.00 - $86,000.00Final salary and rates are based on education, experience, skills relevant to the role, and internal equity.
