In this role, you will act as the subject matter expert for Avaloq Accounting and our securities accounting sub-ledger (ePOCA), supporting both operational excellence and ongoing finance transformation initiatives.
What would your role be?
- Act as the subject matter expert for Avaloq Accounting and the Securities Accounting sub-ledger (ePOCA)
- End-to-end responsibility for financial instruments accounting processes within a sub-ledger system from importing transactions and exporting booking items
- Maintain and further develop the accounting setup in Avaloq and ePOCA to reflect new business requirements and regulatory changes
- Drive process improvements, automation initiatives and finance transformation projects in the area of securities accounting sub-ledger
- Support the current accounting team, in ensuring accurate booking, valuation, and reconciliation of financial instruments
- Deliver accounting data and reporting for Group Finance, local statutory reporting, Tax and other internal stakeholders
- Ensuring compliance with relevant international and local accounting standards (IFRS, FINMA) and internal control requirements

What are we looking for?
- Broad experience in corresponding accounting Sub-ledger systems in a banking environment (SAP TRM, ePOCA, Avaloq)
- Strong background in securities accounting and investment operations like corporate actions, income events and position movements of the own financial instruments from the bank and other group entities
- Experience in reporting from data warehouses and/or other data sources is desirable
- Knowledge of tax accounting relating to financial instruments (e.g. withholding tax, Section 871(m)) is an advantage)
- Experience working with SAP S/4HANA and reporting solutions or data warehouses is desirable
- Proven project and transformation experience, ideally involving SAP TRM or other sub-ledger implementations
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a proactive hands-on mindset
- Affinity for Artificial Intelligence (AI) and a willingness to embrace AI-enabled tools and ways of working.
