Global Investment Services

In this role, you will collaborate closely with investment teams and the technology group to enable scalable and agile front-mid-back operations support for investments across a global portfolio. You will manage a diverse array of asset classes, including equities, fixed income, currencies, and commodities, in both cash and derivative format. The team's responsibilities span across securities operations, derivative operations, corporate action, collateral operations, custody operations and network management. The group is committed to enhancing capabilities through robust governance and controls, as well as digitized processes and platforms, ensuring operational excellence and alignment with market standards.

What impact can you make in this role?

You will be part of an integrated team that provides investment services across all public and private markets asset classes for GIC.

What will you do as a VP, Trade Management & Asset Servicing?

Reporting to the Head of Trade Management & Asset Servicing, you will provide strategic leadership and end-to-end ownership of investment operations capabilities that underpin the full trade and asset servicing lifecycle across public markets — from trade execution and onboarding, through post-trade processing, to downstream reconciliation, valuation support, and client/reporting deliverables.

This is a senior leadership role with accountability for the design, governance, and evolution of the firm’s investment operations operating model. You will set direction on how operations are executed, controlled, and scaled, while driving transformative initiatives to enhance efficiency, resilience, and service delivery across global markets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead transformative initiatives to reinvigorate investment operations, including process optimisation, platform modernisation, automation, and target operating model redesign.
  • Establish and enforce robust operational governance and control frameworks, ensuring a strong balance between risk management, scalability, and business agility.
  • Oversee operational performance and controls across the full trade lifecycle, including trade capture, confirmation, settlement, reconciliation, and asset servicing activities (e.g., corporate actions, income processing).
  • Drive issue resolution and continuous improvement across operations, ensuring timely remediation of breaks and enhancement of control environments.
  • Provide executive oversight on vendor and managed service partnerships supporting operations delivery, including custodians, brokers, and service providers.
  • Set clear expectations, coach, and develop high-performing teams, building deep domain expertise across trade management, cash, and asset servicing functions.
  • Represent investment operations at senior governance forums, steering committees, and enterprise initiatives, influencing strategic direction and ensuring alignment with front office, risk, and technology stakeholders.

What qualifications or skills should you possess in this role?

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • 15+ years in asset management, investment operations, or financial services, with strong front-to-back trade and post-trade experience.
  • Proven leadership overseeing large-scale operations across trade lifecycle management and asset servicing.
  • Demonstrated success driving operational transformation, including process optimisation and platform modernisation.
  • Strong understanding of public and private markets investment lifecycle, including trade execution, settlement, and asset servicing.
  • Deep knowledge of operational controls, risk frameworks, and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence across front office, operations, and technology.
  • Strategic, execution-focused, with experience leveraging automation and analytics to enhance operational efficiency.
