Job description

Analytica is seeking a Senior Developer / Task Lead to support a mission-critical, high-visibility federal government program. The ideal candidate will serve as a technical leader responsible for overseeing the design, development, and delivery of enterprise applications while ensuring alignment with federal compliance, performance, and security standards. This role combines hands-on development with leadership responsibilities across the full software development lifecycle.

Responsibilities include (but not limited to):

Participate as a key member of an Agile team, contributing to the full software development lifecycle including requirements gathering, architecture, design, development, testing, and deployment

Lead the design, development, testing, and deployment of enterprise application releases

Manage and coordinate daily development activities to ensure timely, high-quality delivery of mission-critical systems

Oversee Operations & Maintenance (O&M) activities, including defect resolution, enhancements, system updates, and performance improvements

Lead release planning, execution, and deployment activities across UAT and production environments

Ensure applications meet IRS testing procedures and performance validation requirements

Serve as the primary technical liaison to Government Program Managers, stakeholders, and executive leadership

Ensure solutions adhere to federal compliance, security, and architectural standards

Provide technical oversight and mentor junior developers, promoting best practices in coding, testing, and DevOps

Support continuous improvement initiatives, including process optimization, automation, and system scalability
 

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience)

7+ years of experience as a Software Developer in enterprise environments

Demonstrated experience serving as a Technical Lead or Task Lead on federal IT programs

Experience supporting mission-critical systems in production environments

Strong proficiency in:

  • C#, ASP.NET, .NET Framework
  • SQL Server (T-SQL, database design, administration)
  • Web technologies (HTML, XML, JavaScript)
Experience working within Agile development environments and modern SDLC practices

Strong understanding of release management, testing, and deployment processes

Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Experience ensuring compliance with federal testing and performance standards (e.g., IRS guidelines)

Ability to obtain and maintain a High-Risk Background Investigation (Public Trust or higher)

Must be a US Citizen
