Material Bank® Europe

Material Bank is the world’s largest marketplace for searching, sampling, and specifying architecture, design, and construction materials. The service launched in Europe in spring 2023, allowing architects, interior designers, and corporate buyers to browse collections from over 200 European and global manufacturers. Combining a powerful platform with efficient logistics, approved members can order paint, flooring, textiles, ceramics, tiles, acoustics, and wallcovering samples for free. Shipping to 29 European countries from the Material Bank logistics hub next to Paris-Charles De Gaulle Airport, they receive their chosen samples in one box the next day, saving design professionals valuable time. In addition to improving the speed of searching and sampling materials, Material Bank provides a sustainable solution by aggregating samples from multiple brands into a single box, and to date, has eliminated more than three million packages from being shipped in the US. Material Bank Europe is part of Material Bank, which launched in the US in 2019 and was named as one of Business Insider’s Hottest Proptech Startups and Forbes’ Best Startup Employers. In the US, Material Bank saw rapid adaption by the design community, with over 110,000 approved members using the platform, including users at more than 90% of the top 200 largest architectural and design firms and 20% of Fortune 1000 companies

Job description

Material Bank is the world’s largest material marketplace for the architecture and design industry. Operating in 37 countries, our platform has become the standard for design professionals around the globe. Every day, Material Bank connects thousands of designers with tens of thousands of materials from leading brands. Material Bank is the fastest and most powerful way for design professionals to search, sample, and specify materials.

The Brand Partner Enablement Specialist serves as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert on all things Material Bank, helping Brand Partner leaders and Brand Partner Reps maximize the value they derive from our platform, products, and services. This role works closely alongside Sales, Marketing and Account Management, strengthening relationships across our ecosystem through education, engagement, and strategic support.

As a highly visible, client-facing member of the team, you will spend most of your time either in-market or on-screen engaging with our Brands and Partners. You will help stakeholders understand how to get the most out of the Material Bank platform, expand their industry networks, share data and insights that address meaningful business challenges, and ensure they remain connected to the latest opportunities across our ecosystem.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in front of people and genuinely enjoys building relationships. The successful candidate understands how the A&D community operates, has spent significant time in industry-facing sales, marketing, or business development roles, and is passionate about helping others succeed. To excel in this position, you must be energized by educating and influencing others, possess strong storytelling skills, and enjoy serving as a visible advocate for both Material Bank and the broader design community.

What you’ll do

  • Lead Brand Partner and Brand Rep education and training on the toolsets that span the Material Bank ecosystem, including platform features, account configurations, business intelligence, and insights.
  • Provide Brand Partners and Brand Rep with education and training on best practices to optimize ROI and strengthen designer and architect relationships.
  • Leverage Material Bank’s network to create meaningful connections and introductions between Brand Reps and Material Bank Members and Firm Leaders who would benefit from working together.
  • Maintain an in-field presence through office visits, industry conferences, and trade shows, including speaking or presenting when appropriate, with the goal of reinforcing Material Bank’s value proposition and showing gratitude to our Partners.
  • Host regular, action-oriented in-field meetups that celebrate and connect the community while promoting current initiatives across the Material Bank platform.
  • Partner closely with Marketing to seek opportunities to celebrate, promote, and reward the Brand Reps for being a valuable part of our ecosystem.

What you’ll bring

  • Experience working as a Brand Rep within the Architect & Design ecosystem, ideally with exposure to industry associations, rep organizations, or design-focused platforms.
  • A genuine passion for building relationships and creating meaningful connections across the A&D community.
  • High energy, exceptional stamina, and a “road warrior” mentality with enthusiasm for frequent travel, events, and in-person engagement.
  • Comfortable serving as a visible ambassador for Material Bank and confident operating in front of groups, whether presenting, training, facilitating discussions, or representing the company at industry events.
  • Strong executive presence with the ability to confidently engage senior leaders, communicate strategic value, and establish credibility with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and storytelling skills, both in person and virtually.
  • Highly organized, proactive, and comfortable operating independently across multiple priorities.

What you’ll get from us:

  • Our people: We are a growth-driven team that values efficiency, builds smart automation, operates in small empowered teams, and moves quickly from idea to execution.
  • Relaxation and Celebrations: Flexible PTO, Sick Days, Paid National Holidays, and even more (ask us about this when we connect).
